Gurpreet was very welcoming and friendly, taking the time to explain all the thali options, and we really appreciated the warm hospitality. The kalakand and gulab jamun were both fresh and absolutely delicious.
The methi matar malai, aloo baingan, and dal makhani were the standouts of the thali, each with a clean, authentic flavour that’s hard to find at many Indian restaurants. The paneer butter masala was a little sweeter than expected, but still enjoyable. What really stood out was that none of the curries were oily or heavy and everything tasted fresh and well-balanced. The raita had a unique Punjabi-style flavour with thin slices of cucumber, black salt, and subtle spices that made it especially refreshing. The naans were soft, light, and not dripping in oil.
The sakarparas I bought had chunks of solid sugar in it. I can confidently say that they donot know what quality sweets are. I could not believe these people are making fool of customers.
I also end up paying extra 10 bucks because the serving person weighted more than what I asked for and said, it is bit more if that was okay.. Such a poor customer service. Very disappointing.
Never visiting Sehaj wentworthville again..
Below is the photo of the gajar halwa i bought from chatkaaz. Now that is what an authentic gajar halwa looks like. May be the chef here should learn some basics from chatkaaz
Just saying….
Talking of food quality, old paneer used. Dry & hard. Thumbs down
In short I ordered food and having in and was waiting to place a large order of sweets and ask about catering, as it was going to be a monthly catering order for work related. When I finished eating and asked for a bin to throw my container, I was told to step outside, which I respected. However, while I was waiting, both staff members were at the counter and there was only one other customer who didn’t even want to be served at that moment, yet they both kept ignoring me. One walked away when I asked for assistance, another continued serving around me without acknowledging me, and when I finally asked to be served I was told other people were waiting even though they themselves said they weren’t.
As a customer, I would much rather support a business that invests a little extra in staff who bring warmth, smiles and positive energy rather than negativity that affects the whole atmosphere. I had actually planned to place a big order, but after this experience I didn’t feel comfortable continuing.
I’m sharing this respectfully in the hope it helps improve the customer experienc
