Named after the chef’s daughter, Guard and Grace is Chef Troy Guard’s modern steakhouse that opened in early 2014. It’s recognitions and awards list are almost as long as the wine list. From 16th Best Steakhouse in the World from World Best Steaks to eight consecutive ‘Best Steakhouse in Denver’ titles from Westword – Guard and Grace consistently reigns supreme in Colorado. The menu is truly meant to offer something for everyone, with often found steakhouse features as well as a plethora of award-winning seafood (yes, even in Colorado). Prime, Dry Aged and local Wagyu cuts of beef in 4 to 40 oz. portions are available to satisfy any sized appetite. I booked a reservation at Guard and Grace for our anniversary, and from the moment we walked in, the experience was flawless. If you are looking for a place that actually listens to your requests and treats you like a VIP, this is it.
The Atmosphere & Service:
I had requested a quiet, private table so we could actually talk, and they tucked us away in the back—it was exactly what I was hoping for. They even had a cute card signed by the staff waiting at our table! The decor is stunning and the entire restaurant was spotless. The service was top-tier; we never had a dry glass or a dirty plate on the table for more than a minute, as the staff was constantly wiping down the table and checking on us.
The Food & Drinks:
Everything we ordered was a 10/10.
The Steak: I had the 4 oz. Snake River Wagyu filet, and it was melt-in-your-mouth incredible.
The Specials: My spouse got the wedge salad and the lasagna (a special that night), and we shared the gnocchi. The depth of flavor in every single bite was outstanding.
The Cocktails: We tried the Manhattan and the “Suspended Beliefs.” I’m not a big drinker, but these were delicious—perfectly balanced and definitely strong enough to get me a little tipsy!
The Extra Touch:
To top it all off, they brought out a cute complimentary dessert to celebrate our anniversary.
The Verdict:
Yes, it is more expensive than the “boring” steakhouse chains we have back home in Utah, but it is worth every single penny. You get what you pay for here: incredible food, impeccable service, and a memory that lasts. We will definitely be back!

I am writing a review for the holiday dinner package I picked up for Christmas .. I just finished my last frozen meal from it… and every bite was still pretty damn good after a couple months in the freezer !!!!!. I have lost count how many meals it provided … ballpark it fed 6 + leftovers for 4 for another two days + 5 more frozen meals I prepared since. Every dish was well thought out – easy to prep with instructions- and insanely delicious.
Service here is impeccable- they make you feel like family, comfortable, and sophisticated all at once. They touch base before and after to make sure everything runs smoothly- even included a sweet holiday card from entire staff.
Honestly wish I took more photos – I even included one of the dozens of leftover meals I made 🙂

We celebrated our anniversary at Guard and Grace and had an absolutely incredible experience. We had the artisan cheese tasting appetizer, which was fun and delicious. The New York strip was tender and juicy. The gnocchi were our favorite: rich, comforting, cheesy and incredibly soft. The Brussels sprouts were well seasoned and crispy. The atmosphere felt upbeat and modern, and the service made our anniversary feel genuinely celebrated. It was a memorable night, and a place we cannot wait to return to.

Went for my birthday and was blown away from the start. Service was great, food was even better and of course they hooked it up with a free dresser since it was my birthday. My fiancée and I order the steak platter which came with 3 different cuts of beef. All perfectly cooked to a medium rare/rare. The carrots were a perfect side to the steak along with a loaded baked potato because that’s what you get when ordering steak. My opinion of course. If you ever find yourself in Denver and are craving not only a wonderful atmosphere but delicious food Guard and Grace is the place!

I went to Guard and Grace to celebrate with my friends. I ordered the Filet Flight, we ordered the mashed potatoes, and the carrots. The difference in steaks was awesome to taste, this allowed me to determine what steak I will order next time too!!
The desserts were all shared, I think we decided the G&G Cake to be our favorite, followed closely by the toffee… But all three were enjoyed immensely.

From the moment we arrived, everything felt elevated. The atmosphere is stunning, modern, vibrant, and full of energy without feeling overwhelming.
The entire space is thoughtfully designed, and even the walk down the hallway to the restrooms felt like part of the experience. We loved seeing the plaques highlighting where the chef has been and the signed acknowledgments, it adds a sense of legacy and pride to the space. And the restrooms? Immaculate, sleek, and truly impressive.
Our server was exceptional, personable, attentive, and genuinely warm. He made us feel celebrated and taken care of the entire evening. Receiving a signed anniversary card was such a thoughtful touch and made our 15-year milestone even more special. Thet evening we were celebrating my birthday and our 15th wedding anniversary.
The food was absolutely delicious. Every bite was flavorful, beautifully prepared, and memorable. You can taste the quality and intention behind the dishes.
If we had one small preference, it would be that next time we’d love to be seated at one of the regular dining tables rather than at the bar near the lobster display, but even with that, we still had a wonderful time.
Overall, it was a lovely, memorable experience, and we will absolutely be back.

Came here last Sunday to celebrate our birthdays and had such a wonderful night! We were running a bit late but called ahead, they were super accommodating, and our round table was ready when we arrived. Our server Jonathon was amazing! so friendly, attentive, and really knew the menu. We loved his appetizer recommendations (potstickers and crab cakes were both delicious). For mains, we had ribeyes and filets with scallops, a pork chop, and a filet with crab meat that was loaded with crab. Every bite was perfect. The sides: broccolini, Brussels sprouts, and their signature fried rice, were outstanding (seriously the best fried rice we’ve ever had!).
The atmosphere is lively but comfortable, and the acoustics are so well done that you can actually hear your table talk. We did get a little surprise with a 5% culinary charge, but the next day the general manager, Brandon, called to apologize and explain. That kind of follow-up really impressed us. We told him to keep the refund and give it to Jonathon instead. Great food, great service, and overall a 10/10 experience. We’ll definitely be back every time we’re in Denver!

Service and food was amazing. I had made a reservation about a month in advance. The waitress was very friendly and explained the menu in detail. Food came very quickly and was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was very pleasant and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking a for a nice dinner.

We had an amazing time at Guard and Grace. We had the Colfax & Holly martini, as well as an Espresso Martini, which were both awesome. Started with a French Onion Soup and Caesar Salad, which the server nicely suggested a half order (which was more than enough). It was so nice that they offer half orders, especially since there was only two of us. My wife had the 4oz Filet with an added scallop and bernaise, while I had the 16oz Ribeye with a scallop and bernaise. Both were very good! Server was so attentive, management made sure to check on us, and the Chefs Table was a great place to sit! Highly recommend!
