Some night I work a late shift and don’t get to take lunch until 5/6pm I had my mouth set on a Kroger deli sandwich and when I arrived between 6/6:30 I was informed the sandwich area was closed.
I called today, to confirm if they will be open this evening and was told that the hot food side closes at 7pm and the sandwich area closes around 6/6:30pm.
Just an FYI for any other late eaters. I didn’t see a suggestion area for times and I was originally going off of the deli closing time listed on here for 8pm

I work in Decatur Illinois and will go out of my way to get over to the Kroger store in Mount Zion for the fresh deli and sushi island. I will often stop by for lunch and grab fresh sushi made that day which is always on par and I’ve been impressed with the awesome quality of the different sushi rolls they have. I usually get the vegetable wrap with the salmon roll with brown rice.
The deli also has a sandwich station with pre made subs and boarshead (brand of meat) sandwiches which are always fresh. The salad bad is another favorite of mine and right next to the salad bar is a little station with various olives, tomatoes, and other foods. I will continue to frequent this location for quick on the go lunches.
