The service was so good! She checked on us a little too much haha! But everything was delicious and good. My hash brown casserole on my burger wasn’t warm enough but it was delicious!! Hot cocoa cup was really big.
The store has so many fun things and old timey candies and drinks. It’s a lot of fun and brings back so many childhood memories! They have workers that follow you around the store, so don’t feel judged I think they are supposed to do that

We went to Cracker Barrel on Saturday night at about 6pm. We were seated very quickly. Our drink order was taken within 5 minutes and about 5 minutes later we had our drinks. The complimentary biscuits that come with every meal took a very long time to get, in fact we had to remind the waiter that we still wanted them. At this time we ordered our food which all came with side salads. We were actually unable to order the steaks that we wanted because apparently they were out of steaks for the night. We didn’t receive our salads for over 30 minutes and our waiter forgot one of the salads(out of 4) and forgot the dressing for another one of the salads. We asked for the missing items and the salads were then brought to us with our entrees. this made it really inconvenient because not only was there not enough room on the table for everything, but we no longer even wanted our salads because our food had arrived. The mashed potatoes that came with two of the meals had a tint/texture to them that indicated that the meals had been sitting for a while. The meatloaf was also dry and tasted like it had been sitting for a while as well. The gravy that we asked for on the side had a very thick film over the top, which again indicated that the food had been sitting for quite sometime. We all also agreed that the pepper was over used in everything but also agreed that the chicken was cooked perfectly had the portion size for those were very decent. Over all it was a very poor experience and we even overheard another table complaining about never receiving their salads and the poor service as well.
Update:
Cracker Barrel reached out to me to try and fix this horrible experience by offering me a digital coupon for one free entree. ONE free entree!! What exactly am I supposed to do with that?! The experience of four people was ruined by this and their idea of making up for it is offering me a single entree which would only cause me to bring someone with me(cause no one eats alone) and spend more money! Poor customer service handling. If I could give them zero stars I would

One of my favorite restaurants is the cracker barrel it’s a fun family filled experience. We love the games food atmosphere and the prices. After we eat we all pick out our favorite old fashioned candy and buy gifts and clothes. This is an experience and a perfect place to celebrate events and family parties.

A bit late posting this but I wanted to finally do it. My bf and I ordered their heat and serve meal for Thanksgiving and it was… yuck. We had it the previous year as well and didn’t like it then so we didn’t want to eat from here again but other places were sold out of their to-go dinners. Anyways, we ordered it again thinking maybe we just got a bad cook the last time or whatever but this time around was equally garbage. Their “turkey” tasted like gelatinous cat food, the stuffing had the consistency of soupy grits and tasted so funky we both pushed it to the side of our plates immediately, the mac n cheese I’m 99% sure is the Bob Evan’s brand you get from the store (SAME color, texture, size, AND taste), and the rest was just as mediocre. We are never eating here again and I’d advise anyone looking for dinners to go somewhere else- I promise spending the few extra dollars is worth it.

Everything was great from the restaurant to store. We had a party of 8 and they sat us right away. Service was good, our waiter was patient with us. Sat outside for a little vit before we headed out.

Wow!
Seriously!
All this for around $15..
Was so good!
Fried chicken.. You get 4 hand breaded made to order pieces of chicken..
Crispy, flavorful, juicy..
So good!
I got the green beans and the homemade mashed potatoes with it ..
Yes, I said real homemade mashed potatoes folks!
Rarest thing in Idaho!
And I paid extra got an additional side of the dumplings
So good I cannot wait to get chicken and dumplings this winter to cozy up with..
Service was amazing.. Calling in my order was easy.. Every step was so easy!
And without the extra side this would run about the same as grabbing a dinner at fast food!
Highly recommend!

Alrighty folks – here’s the deal! This place is pretty good for the quality of food you get vs price. I used to really enjoy eating here before I was gluten free, that is a bummer that they have *very* limited gluten free or dairy free options. However, they did have an awesome allergen book and my food was good.
I think overall that this place is underrated. They have good seating, a cute store attached, excellent service and a great vibe.

The few times I have been to a Cracker Baerrel the food was not very good and very greasy. This time I have a gift card given to me by my dad. I was going to use it in the gift shop. There are so many things to look at. One lady seemed to be following me and popped in front of me asking if I needed something. Very strange. I said I was looking. She said ok. That’s what people do, they look and when they see something they like they might buy it. I hadn’t found anything yet. There is a lot to look at. Then I was cut off by another employee and she grabbed my arm and said sorry. You never touch someone like that. You can say sorry but don’t touch them. I said please don’t touch me and she walked off. I kept looking around because I had only gotten halfway through the gift shop. They way they treated me kept bothering me. So I ended up leaving. I wonder if I could just case out the gift card because I don’t want to go through that again.

Overall, better experience than the previous time I went here. Most of the food was hot. The food had flavor and everyone’s order was correct. Waited less time than told and it was nice to look around the shop.

Cracker Barrel used to be one of those must go to places.Today, not so much. We went here a couple of weeks ago and due to staffing there was a really long wait. So, today we tried again.
They weren’t very busy. Yay. We got seated. Our waitress, Maddie, came over. She was not friendly and seemed irritated to help.
Alright, maybe she’s stressed or having a rough morning. Who knows..
I tried to ask a question you would have thought I pulled some teeth. Yikes.
The food arrived. Presentation was nice. The taste. Horrid. The hash brown casserole tasted like the day before’s heat up in the microwave. Once you got through the hard layer it was so salty you couldn’t eat it.
I asked for toasted bread and got toasted soggy bread. Not sure how that happened.
The blueberry pancakes looked amazing until we pulled a piece of something red out. It looked like plastic or a red fruity pebble.
I guess I just expect more from a Cracker Barrel.
