My friend and I visited on a Thursday for lunch. The food was amazing and our server was FANTASTIC! Hailey was so sweet, kind and so attentive. We absolutely loved her! We had some work to do and Hailey told us to stay and do what we needed. She kept checking on us and filled our waters and even offered waters to go. The location was good, clean and great atmosphere. We can’t wait to go back. The portions were perfect to share and good prices.
We ordered:
Basil Egg fried rice and added chicken (They ran out of basil so we substituted cilantro – suggested by Hailey. What a great idea! It tasted amazing)
Lo mein and added steak
Fried tofu
Spring rolls
Thai Tea
Matcha Lychee Lemonade

Had a fantastic late lunch. We enjoyed Chow Fun fried rice with had a great wok flavor without tasting greasy and the radish and bean sprout banana and kimchi which were all good and tasted as expected. We also had the bbq chicken bow which was good but on the sweet side for our taste. Adding the pickled radish helped to balance the sweetness. The outstanding dish for us was the 5 spice fried tofu. The tofu was fried light, crispy, airy so Devine with a dusting of 5 spice and a bit of sugar. We could not get enough of those airy pillows cubes of deliciousness. I also had a delicious hot yuzu peach tea. Our server Hailey was attentive, lovely and provided great recommendations and service with a smile.

From the moment we walked through the door we felt welcome and made to feel valued as customers. The hostess was inviting and accommodating to us. Cameron was a skilled waiter taking care of all our needs with perfect timing. The food was beyond incredible. The best Phad Thai we’ve ever had. The chili wonton’s are worth going just for them. But also get the spring rolls and chicken dumplings. We will make this our restaurant while visiting Jacksonville every time. Thank you!

Cool atmosphere, even better food and cocktails! I’m a fan of the Golden Wontons. They tasted “meaty” to me and were pretty crispy on the outside. It was also very nice to have Jackson as well, he was great to my group and I. Haven’t been to a Hawkers in a few years so the experience was very appreciated.

Let me start by saying I love Hawkers. The food is great, they have a great location and the cutest patio set up. Went in for lunch today. Not even half of the restaurant was full, it was not busy whatsoever. After being seated it took us over 10 minutes to be greater by our server (can’t remember his name, maybe Caleb?) Greeted with a “hello….” Dead silence. No introduction. No “how are yous”. Just awkward. After placing drink and food orders, we received our food in a pretty timely fashion, maybe 10-15 minute wait which is pretty typical. Didn’t see our server again until my fiance got up to go get a refill of his own drink from the bar. Not once we were asked how our food was, if there was anything we needed, no straws, no napkins, didn’t check on us one time. I was seated with my back towards the windows, facing into the restaurant, and I watched our server move slowly, 0 attentiveness, no urgency, really didn’t even seem like he wanted to be at work, let alone work in the customer service industry. I am not a server but I’ve worked in customer service and I think I could have taken care of tables better. We’ve given Hawkers many chances as this is not the first time we’ve had bad service, but today was bad like nothing I’ve ever seen before.

Delicious last stop while here in Jacksonville. Got the roti canai which was cooked perfectly with a delicate flaky texture. Main entree was the curry duck noodles which had a rich flavor. Highly recommend. Kaylee was an attentive and very friendly server!!
Will be back or visiting their locations in other cities

I visited this restaurant for Valentine’s Day. The decor is nice and the cocktails were great, but the food and service were disappointing. I ordered a bibimbap that was far from authentic: the egg was burnt on the edges, almost no vegetables, and the kimchi was mixed into the dish (it should be served separately). There was also not enough gochujang sauce. Worst of all, they don’t bring the sauce separately; I had to ask for a spoon just to eat, and like with the 包, I had to measure my own soy sauce because nothing is provided on the table. I’ve lived almost a decade in Asia and tried everything from street food to Michelin-starred restaurants, so I know what I’m talking about. Even street food there always comes with at least chili sauce, soy, and vinegar at the table. Despite everything, I left an 18% tip. The place has potential, but both the food and service need serious improvement.

Love this place! We love bringing our pup and eating on the patio. I get the Pad Thai every time, so yummy. Love the Tiger’s Tail drink too. We recently went (12/26 around 5pm) and got really great service from a young lady out there, I wish I remembered her name. She was so sweet to my dog and in general just lovely! This is our favorite stop to eat after taking our dog to Brewhound to play. 10/10 every time.

This place will always be one of my favorites. Went here for a quick lunch with my girlfriend after the beach and it was phenomenal. Great Asian food and it’s hard to find some Malaysian food here but it was amazing. Would highly recommend.
