We came up to the stand and she asked if we had reservations. I apologized and said “I didn’t know we needed them”. She replied in a snarky tone “always” so we started to walk away. Then she said “table for 2?” I was confused because she just told us we needed reservations. When I asked for clarification she said “well, we can take walk ins too” I found her comments unnecessary and her tone off putting. I hope she doesn’t treat all the guests like that.
I had the bangers and mash, so delicious!! Great snap of the pork bangers skins, yummy gravy with mushrooms and creamy potatoes. My mom had the Irish cheesestake, she said it was pretty good but wasn’t a fan of the beer cheese. I also enjoyed an Irish margarita that was refreshing with Jameson orange. We shared the bread pudding. Oh my goodness it was so decadent. Just the right amount of sweetness, creamy texture, a little crunch on the top of caramelized sugar, and came out piping hot, so be patient and let it cool down…unlike us. Haha. Large portions for mains and dessert.
The atmosphere was very fun. Live music and a lady dancing an Irish jig. All the patrons were up dancing and singing too. Very lively and entertaining.
I’ve had a lot of fish and chips over the years, but what I had at Nine Fine Irishmen in Las Vegas blew me away. The fish was absolutely perfect—crispy on the outside, flaky and flavorful on the inside. It honestly might be the best fish and chips I’ve had in years.
What really stood out was the attention to tradition. In true Irish fashion, they had malt vinegar on the table—but they also served it with a fresh lemon wedge. I ended up using both, and the combination was incredible. It added just the right balance of tang and brightness to the already delicious fish.
Our waitress (I regret not getting her name) was one of the friendliest people I’ve encountered on this whole trip. She made us feel completely at home, like we’d known her for years. Places like this thrive because of people like her. If anyone from management is reading this, give that woman a raise!
If you’re anywhere near the New York–New York Hotel & Casino on your Las Vegas trip, stop in. You won’t regret it.
Been to NFI many times but stumbled across an incredible deal here from 2 to 5pm Monday to Thursday. $9.99 for a burger and fries….add any draft beer for $4.99. You can still do Vegas on a budget!
The place was packed….. there was live music near the outside patio. Service was great; food was fantastic and the beer, welll you can’t go wrong with Guinness. Check it out!
Tried their spin on nachos with some pastrami, delicious! A nice bit of beer cheese on regular potato chips (I think they’re made in house), definitely something I want to recreate at home again and again. Chips didn’t really get soggy and the pastrami was delicious!
Everything here is delicious and the server we had was truly a delightful person! On top of drinks, had excellent recommendations for us. Always a wonderful stop!
This was our second visit in our stay. Had dinner with a larger group (7) at dinner. Reservations recommended for dinner service but the hostess was able to get us in very quickly from a walk up reservation. Seated upstairs (elevator if stairs are an issue) in a large cozy booth/table which allowed for great conversation where you could easily hear everyone. Bangers and mash hit the spot.
