The restaurant canceled a confirmed reservation 4 minutes before start time. We were greeted and seated as if we were inconveniencing the staff. The place was empty and they sat us behind the host stand. We went the day after Valentine’s and were told they were out of most items on the menu – no big deal because we reserved for the cheese wheel experience. When we ordered we were told we can’t all order meals from the cheese wheel. Ok? We adjusted our order and somehow ended up with no cheese wheel experience. We did get an egg roll flight for the table, but were not provided plates, utensils, or napkins. The bathroom was extremely dirty.
Regardless, the food tastes good and the drinks were decent. The “flights for everything” concept is fun and not something you see often.

I was blown away with the service & drinks Megan (sp?) provided. Everything was curated perfectly and the flavors were exciting. I’m sorry honey pear martini, butter pecan martini, even the dirty martini was amazing!!! The chef came to the table to make sure our food was perfect, and believe me when I say it was. Special shout out to the atmosphere, which was cozy and literally so cute, perfect for a photo opp. We had the best girls lunch today. I can not wait to return and try more dishes!

Went here for a girls day lunch and we had the best time. The decorations are so beautiful, especially their flower ceiling (perfect for taking pictures with your friends)! The service, food, and drinks were incredible. The cheese wheel pasta flight took the experience to the next tier. We will definitely be back!

We have been a big fan of the “blackstone” family ever since their first establishment. The fresh ingredients when they had the cafe and drinks were always up to par.. when they went into the restaurant world, the menu was fun. Service was great and the atmosphere was even better. To see the business evolve with Chef Darien Brady in the back, the menu brings life and fun to the restaurant.. the side bar room is a plus, a quick drink and app before the game (pictured here).. i can’t wait to see what they do this spring/summer with the federal hill dining experiences

Okay so I came here for the first time last weekend while visiting the area. I was looking for food and it came up on tiktok and google. We had a reservation for 3 people at 8:45pm. They do have two entrances but both connect to the entire place. So we went to go check in, we had to wait maybe 10 minutes for our table to be ready which wasnt too bad. The server did take a little while to come by and get our drink orders once we sat. For my drinks I got the fresh fruit martini flight. I got sour patch, pear & honey and mango. They were all pretty good 7/10. I did also have a taste of the birthday cake martini that was really good 8/10. For food I got the from the sea flight. I had the Salmon, Lobster Tail & Baked stuffed shrimp with a side of the mash potatos. The salmon was ok 6/10, lobster tail was regular nothing crazy. I wasn’t a fan of the baked stuffed shrimp personally. The Mashed potatoes were pretty good 8/10. The vibe was dark with some lights in there. The only thing in my opinion it smelt funny inside. Some people with me just said it was the cheese ( they do cheese wheels table side) but in my opinion it just smelt weird. Other than that it was a nice place to try out.

Three of us went here for dinner. We ordered the salad flight, the calamari flight, the pasta flight and the bruchetta flight. Portions are small for the price. We shared everything. There is a 20% tip that is automatically added to your bill, which I think is wrong. What happens if you have a terrible server? We each spent $35.00 and when I arrived home, I had to eat because although we ordered 4 flights, it wasnt enough.
I will not be going back here.

10/10 experience! My fiance and I had reservations here for valentines day and had the cheese wheel experience, the burger sliders and the french fry sliders. Everything was absolutely amazing, every single dish had amazing flavor and the service was great as well. Will definitely Come again!

Macaroni cheese flight was the only decent thing, 5/5. Slider flight earns itself a 2.5/5 for being cold and plain. Seasonal drink with gin was strong but not tasty, 3/5. The waitress was nice but kept forgetting what I needed, and then I waited nearly 30 minutes to get boxes and my check. They need more than one person on the floor during a shift. They can do so much better with service and food than this. It’s a shame.

Our friend saw a video on Instagram of this restaurant making pastas in giant Parmesan wheels, so clearly we had to go. We were not disappointed. The drink flights were excellent (each person in our party had one—fruity martini, mojito, old fashioned, and margarita—and they were all good), as were the appetizer flights (delicious bruschetta and crispy fries with tasty toppings). But the cheese-wheel pastas were truly amazing. Among the four of us we had all the options on the regular $39 pasta menu, and I can’t say enough about them. The gnocchi were pillowy, the pesto was flavorful but not overwhelming, and all of the sauces were wonderful. I ate way more than I should have because it was all so good. Even the dessert flight—cannoli cake, tiramisu, flourless chocolate cake—was excellent. Huge shout out to our server, Jamie, who explained everything, was attentive, and went right along with our wonky sense of humor. Shout outs also to Tyler, the chef who made our pasta in the wheels, and the head chef, Darien, who checked in on us a couple of times to make sure all was well. In short, an excellent experience with amazing food and attentive and friendly staff. We highly recommend Blackstone on the Hill to anyone looking for a fun dinner out. Pro tip: if you’re interested in the cheese-bowl pasta, get there early (we had a 4 PM reservation on a Saturday night). The dining room fills up fast, so the later you come the longer you’ll have to wait for cheesy perfection.

We were seated promptly without a reservation by luck because someone didn’t show up for their reservation. All of the staff was friendly and personable and the food was amazing. We did a salad flight, egg roll flight, and specialty pasta flight along with espresso martini flight and a fruit martini flight. Our entire group enjoyed everything! Can’t wait to come back again.
