I don’t know if people know, but this place has sugar free options! I can’t have sugar and my wife found this place nearby… I’ve enjoyed the chocolate covered raisins, malted milk balls, salted caramel and many others… all sugar free and all delicious!

We stopped at Morkes Chocolates and Donuts on our dessert tour of Palatine. The orange muffin was pretty good, though a bit on the dry side. The donut with yum yum cream had good flavor, but unfortunately didn’t sit well with two people in our group, who later had some stomach trouble we’re fairly sure came from it. The staff and service were delightful, and the shop itself was charming, but overall the donuts were middling. We’d give Morkes three stars for friendliness and presentation, though the quality felt hit or miss.

Stopped by seeing this sweet little independent Chocolate Shop in Rand Road. Inside is this well managed Chocolate wonderland, with lot of varieties of home made chocolate, freshly made donuts, and other treats. Bought home made chocolate mix and match ( they either give in a bag or in a box). Also the doughnuts tasted good. Definitely will be stopping again. Slightly overpriced, but being a small business and how well the store is kept, makes sense.

LOVED the seasonal wine garden. Enjoyed a light spinach phylo with a garden salad, a crisp diet coke, glass of prosecco, and apple strudel. The fans outside and shade helped with the heat. Afterwards I grabbed half off donuts (after 5pm) to enjoy for breakfast the next day plus some fun chocolate to go. I will be back. Excited to learn about the chocolate fondue option if providing a few hours notice!

My children especially love their candy camps; they have so much fun creating their own sweet masterpieces while learning about chocolate.
