Found this restaurant after discovered the stupa located right in front. My table was at the 4th floor it’s worth to walk up here the view was so amazing and calm I could see all around. Plus I could see Mt. Everest by far recommended by the staff. The staffs are very nice and hospitable. Food came with quite big portion but reasonable price the taste I would give 4/5 if I have a chance I would come back

Best Vietnamese Cuisine available in the Kathmandu Valley.

The service is super fast, and the hospitality of all the staffs is amazing.

You should experience the roof
Top seats of Boudha branch for excellent view of the Stupa.

Highly Recommended

Enjoyed all the foods ordered.

The service is really kind and the Pho is amazing! I really enjoyed it. Also the spring rolls and Wotons. We really like going here. And the view is just stunning. Only once I ordered the curry and the curry I sadly didn’t like. But the Pho, the Service and the View are super

As someone spending two months in Nepal and in the mountains for climbs, coming back to civilisation to have Nepalese food again would be hard on the palettes (I love Nepalese food, but I do miss my Western and Vietnamese food). Coming back to KTM, I looked forward to having the simplicity of KFC and fastfood, as well as the food of my people.

Vietnamese food is not the greatest that I have ever taste, but it tried to closely match with the original dishes, something that is different to other East Asian restaurants and Nepalese restaurants surrounding and something I appreciate. Plus, there is an ice cream shop at the ground floor that has to best pistachio ice cream I have ever had so it’s a bonus.

The view from 2nd floor is great and cozy, great of the Stupa.

The staff were amazing! (Guresh?) (I may have forgotten/mistaken his name) was amazing and hospitable.

9/10 would come back again.

There are many options around the Stupa, but I liked Pho 99 the most. With a picture perfect view of the Stupa, the awesome food and staff along with some nice numbers playing in the background, make the experience memorable.

Vietnamese Fried Fish (Cá Chiên) is not on the menu but they made it for me. And it was amongst the best I’ve had in a long time. I had Pho Ga (Chicken Pho), which was nice – the sauces were too good.

Pho was interesting with a healthy taste. Spring/summer rolls should definitely be tried. They are really refreshing to eat. I’d skip duck Chilly. There’s nothing too special about that and it has similar tastes like regular chicken chilly. The rooftop view is definitely one of the best to get the nice view of the stupa.

Was so stoked to have located a Vietnamese restaurant in Kathmandu, Nepal, as I always got a craving for pho! The restaurant has 4 levels, including the rooftop where you can get a great view of the stupa (you can actually see it on most of the floors!). They offer good decent number of vegetarian options (e.g., tofu pho or veggie pho). The staff were patient, polite, friendly and hospitable. Quite impressed to see how the staff has digitized ordering and billing via a tablet.

Admittedly, for a Vietnamese, I felt the noodle wasn’t soft enough (authentic places use fresh noodles so the pho bowl comes out soft), likely could have soaked a bit longer or gently cook it in hot water before serving. They do offer vegetarian broth for vegetarian pho, which is amazing. Some veggies (carrot, cauliflower) tasted somewhat stale / gone bad to me.

⚠️ The restaurant is located inside Boudhanath Stupa. This means for foreigners, you must pay an entrance fee to the stupa square in order to get to the restaurant. A great way to check out the largest stupa in Nepal before or after enjoying your Vietnamese meal.

It always calms me even when I visit Bouddha during the peak times. And recently we’ve just discovered one of the hidden gems.

Pho99 roof top garden. (Vietnamese resturant)

Great vibe, accompanied by great food. You should definitely try the shrimp roll and the pho stew seafood If you happen to drop by.

Icing on the cake is you get to enjoy the best rooftop view. It’s a cozy dine in experience and no doubt one of the best in Kathmandu.
