Unassuming pizzeria drawing a local crowd for Roman-style pies, wine & desserts.

Overall we were very pleased with our entire experience. Highly recommend by 2 locals that know what they are talking about. Only issue is we were kind of convinced us to take 2 pizzas when 1 was more than enough. Order 1. Much like a medium back in the US. House white wine is perfect and a great price. Pizza crust is great and of course so are the pizzas. Crust is thing and crisp. I’d recommend but can’t say it’s the best like a few had said. Tiramisù dessert” — the famous Italian coffee-soaked, is one I’d order again.

Authentic Italian family restaurant with the most amazing pizzas. Super reasonably priced, lots of locals enjoying the pizza, a relaxed vibe, quick service. We visited twice, it was one of our favourite restaurants in Rome.

Recommended by one of our guides and it did not disappoint. It was packed at 2 pm but we got a table. Everything was fresh and delicious. Friendly servers. Indoor and outdoor seating. Good price for good portions.

If you want to eat a great tiramisu in Rome, this restaurant is the best place by far !! Staff is great, prices are low (nothing is higher than 12€ on the menu) and the atmosphere is very friendly !
And I saw that the pizza is cooked in a traditional oven !
Really really recommend

8/10 very solid local pizza spot. Service was very kind and friendly and lots of Italians eating here too. Pizza was thin crust , crispy and you could even fold the pizza. Was it the best pizza ? Probably not, but a solid option if you’re looking for pizza. Very well priced, 9 euros

Stumbled upon Alle Carrette near the Roman Forum and it turned out to be a gem. Even though it was packed, the team still found a spot for us. Cosy, rustic vibes with the smell of pizzas baking in a wood oven. We tried the lasagna, pizza pie, pizza salmone and tiramisu — all delicious. A warm, honest, family‑style meal and a great break from sightseeing. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

We asked a police officer for a good Pizza close to the Colosseum and he told us about this place. It was amazing! The food was delicious and our waiter was super friendly! Best suppli and Pizza we have had so far! The house wine was also really good and the tiramisu too!

The pizza marinara was the best I’ve had so far in Italy (and I’m picky and don’t usually like pizza Marinara). The tomato sauce was superbly flavourful and rich – every night was a real delight. That is to say: My non-vegan companions all enjoyed the vegan version much more than their cheese pizza, so beware. The fried zucchini were also fantastic!! Highly recommend for marinara and zucchini, not necessarily so much for cheesy pizza.
The service was also super accommodating and understanding – we were in a rush and they were quick and efficient. The food came out very quickly – thanks for the great experience. The atmosphere is very rustic and feels authentically Italian 🙂

Tucked in the alley just steps from the exit of the Roman Forum, this restaurant has delicious pizza. Crispy, hardly any crust, great cheese. Sitting in the shade and rehydrating was nice after the long day of walking. Prices are what you’d expect in the high tourist area.

If you are looking for an amazing authentic dining experience without breaking the bank, alle carrette is a must! We had two pizzas, a bottle of wine, a tiramisu, and two limoncellos for 50 euros. The tiramisu was to die for and I am still thinking about it. The location is amazing and so close to the colisseum. Definitely sit outside in the alley as it as the best vibes compared to indoors. Shiraz wine was lovely!
