We celebrated my birthday here last night while visiting Cairns and were genuinely impressed with the entire experience. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the portions were very generous, we were absolutely full by the end of the night.
The team went above and beyond by decorating our table with a “Happy Birthday” sign and even surprising us with dessert, which made the celebration feel extra special. A special shoutout to Jona, who took such wonderful care of us throughout the evening. She was attentive, warm, and made sure we had everything we needed.
Overall, the dining experience truly made our night. We’ll definitely be coming back again and would absolutely recommend this place to friends visiting Cairns as well. 10/10 highly recommend!

This restaurant is quite good. Personally, I think the ribeye steak and the seafood tower are the must-order highlights. Unfortunately, due to limited time and having ordered too many dishes, I didn’t get the chance to try all of the restaurant’s signature items, which was a bit of a pity.
That said, the stunning ocean view really makes a huge difference. Sitting by the window truly elevates the entire dining experience.
Overall, the food is reliable and the environment is outstanding. It’s a restaurant that’s worth visiting for the scenery and atmosphere alone, and I would definitely come back next time specifically to try the signature dishes.

Had the loveliest work birthday lunch at Dundee’s yesterday with my colleagues, and it was such a great experience. The lunch specials are delicious and so affordable, making it the perfect spot for a weekday treat.
The staff are always incredibly attentive, friendly, and kind, they’re genuinely so good at what they do and make you feel so welcome every time.
The food is absolutely mouth-wateringly delicious, and the location is beautiful too, which makes it even more enjoyable for a relaxed lunch.

Dundee’s in Cairns won us over before we even sat down. We stopped by last night without a reservation and they were fully booked, but the vibe, the smiles, and the energy from the staff were so good that we made a reservation on the spot for the next night. Pro tip: make a reservation. This place fills up for a reason.

We started with a glass of Riesling and the garlic bread, which should honestly come with a warning label. Something like: “Caution, may cause unrealistic expectations of garlic bread for the rest of your life.” It was that good. Then came the Barramundi Supreme, which is exactly what it sounds like. Calamari, octopus, shrimp, mussels, fish, and the best sweet potatoes I have had on this whole trip. Every bite was packed with flavor.
Dundee’s is worth the reservation, worth the wait, and worth asking for Cynthia if you can.

We held my dads recent birthday celebration at Dundee’s and were very happy with the venue. The atmosphere was great, it helped that the weather played its part on what was a nice Cairns day. The service from start to finish was fantastic, our server Andrea made sure everyone was looked after, especially the birthday boy! The food was also fantastic and the 10+ people at the table were all very happy with their meals. Overall, Dundee’s hit the mark and they made it a great celebration for my dad’s special day. Thanks!

We had the best time at Dundees! Me and my extended family were here from Brisbane and Melbourne to celebrate a 50th and we couldn’t have picked a better venue! The food was delicious, and came out pretty quickly for eleven orders! Special shout-out to our server, Manuel, who was super great and really brought the vibe ❤️ It was very bustling and busy, but that didn’t affect our experience at all – more fun and liveliness to add to the atmosphere! Overall, it was exceptional food, exceptional service, and an exceptional atmosphere; this review of five stars is only accurate if you multiply it by five! Great job Dundees!

We were welcomed with a smile, and ushered to our reserved table, on arrival to our table had a the requested birthday decorations. The service was fast, on point, warm and very welcoming, meals came out hot in a reasonable time once ordered. The dessert menu, is absolutely delightful, and most of all visually appealing to help you make the choice easy.

During our trip to Cairns, we ate at Dundee’s twice (lunch & dinner on separate days) because it was that good. It’s one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Australia. The food was delicious especially the seafood. Service was excellent. Our servers were Kevin and Andrea. They were nice, friendly, efficient, and very accommodating to our requests. Restaurant is very spacious and clean. Would highly recommend 🙂

We stopped at Dundees on iur first night at Cairns. We were in fact 45 min early to our reservation but the hostess accommodated us with just a 10 min wait. The device was great and so was the food. We had a wide selection between 4 of us. They even celebrated us for our anniversary. We would love to come dine here again. Portions are a little smaller for the price but the food is delicious
