A lovely new addition to Old Town Lewisville. Media did lead us to believe Ethel Jane’s was more of a full meal restaurant, and while the food menu wasn’t that substantial, it was solid and would get you through the day.

The charcuterie board was a nice entry into charcuterie. It was pleasant, but a little basic. The handheld sandwiches are on wonderful focaccia which was the star of the overall food. I wasn’t expecting the roast beef to be as chilled as it was, but it was still nice and even better after it sat for a bit.

The real star of this location is of course the drinks. You will find excellent whiskey here and the Texas pecan old fashion was very nice.

All of the staff was super nice and attentive, we will be back for sure!

Ethel Jane’s Whiskey Kitchen is a great addition to Lewisville. It’s a cozy neighborhood spot from the folks behind Bendt Distilling Co., and if you ever visited the old tasting room, the drink menu will feel instantly familiar.
They make their soups and sandwiches fresh every morning, and the Brie & Prosciutto on focaccia was excellent — creamy, a little spicy, with just enough sweetness to keep you going back for another bite. The OG Old Fashioned also hits the spot (order it with the rye… that’s the move).
The atmosphere is dangerously comfortable. There’s a front patio for nice weather days, or you can head inside and hang out by the fireplace in the library. If you’re a book nerd, ask about the book exchange program — it fits the vibe perfectly.
This looks like a quick lunch stop, but realistically you’ll stay too long and end up ordering another round.
10/10. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the service and the menu. A true neighborhood hangout.

This place is a spinoff from the original location of Bent distillery. This place is right in Old Downtown Lewisville and has the feeling of a Tea Room than a distillery. The drinks are top notch have an excellent flavor balance. We did not order food but saw what they were serving other tables and it looked great.
The atmosphere is quaint and the seating areas are small. The service was a bit slow and our drinks ran out long before being checked on for another round. This place will not be able to handle the crowds that the original place had. I do like the original better but would recommend coming here as the cocktails are worth a visit.

After hearing of their soft opening, my wife and I swung by Ethel Janes one evening after dinner, and we are so glad we did. Ethel Janes is this super cute restaurant in the heart of Old Town Lewisville, that is now my go-to spot for EXPERTLY crafted cocktails and something sweet to satisfy my after-dinner cravings.
The cocktail menu is where this place truly shines. Each drink is thoughtfully balanced—not too sweet, not overpowering—with fresh ingredients that make all the difference. I had their signature Old Fashioned and my wife had the Amaretto Old Fashioned…both were perfection!
But here’s the real showstopper: the handmade desserts. Everything is made in-house…the Whiskey cake was moist and decadent without being heavy. My wife had the large Ube Cookie which had crispy edges giving way to a soft, gooey center.
The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between upscale and welcoming—dim lighting, comfortable seating, and a beautiful library aesthetic. Side note, you can grab a book to read if you’re looking to relax and get off the phone for a bit.
We’ll be back soon to work our way through their enticing menu, but in short…Ethel Jane delivers on both the cocktails and the sweets.

My husband and I stopped by tonight for dinner and drinks.
The atmosphere reminded us of a quaint restaurant in New England, very welcoming and well done!
The food definitely was amazing and as advertised. We had the ham and potato soup with rosemary focaccia bread – the mix of flavors was delicious.

We did not have dessert however the black cherry old fashioned and the sweet tea hit the spot !

Destiny was superb and very personable 🙂

Definitely plan to visit monthly as the menu changes to try the new recipes

Cheers ya’ll ! Wonderful spot in Old Town Lewisville

We’ve been coming to Bendt for special occasions for a few years now. We finally got to try out their new place: Ethel Janes. It’s a very unassuming house converted into a restaurant/library. We had dinner before our cocktail making class. We had sandwiches and cups of soup. It’s nice and cozy inside, the food was alright – just took a bit to get it as a few people were coming in and ordering soup to-go which was keeping the cooking staff very busy.

Compared to Bendt Distillery, it is very small, not too much room for events and accommodating to very small parties. I remember the Valentine’s Day events were becoming tradition for my wife and I; sadly those are no more. I wish them well, but they are very limited on what they can do at the new location. It’s a great place for a quiet cocktail and to read a chapter.

Oh. My. Gosh. We had a girlfriend get together and had the most marvelous time! All the food we tried was delicious. Our drinks were beyond amazing. And the ambience is just so comfortable from the corner we were tucked into to the area in front of the fireplace to the super cute decor in the women’s restroom! We had a delightful wonderful time and will definitely be back again!
