I was not very impressed with this place. I got the daily special (Thurs-Ham sandwich) with Mac & cheese and mashed potatoes w/gravy for a side. Peach cobbler was for dessert.
Pros:
• The employees were really nice and asked me two different times how I enjoyed my meal.
• The ham sandwich was really good, especially with BBQ sauce.
• Very casual atmosphere. It was good to sit down and blend in.
Cons:
• The Mac & cheese was bland.
•The mashed potatoes and gravy were a little cold.
• The peach cobbler was not good at all.
Overall, I would come for the meat they sell. Really good meat and they cut it up in front of you. The meal was almost $17. The sides and dessert didn’t make the cut. Maybe next time!

I have been coming to this restaurant for over a year. Most of the employees I’ve encountered are normally nice and very helpful. However, I had an unpleasant experience with an employee that was working yesterday morning on 11/19/2025. During my checkout, he was inappropriate and also made me feel uncomfortable by use of certain gestures and overly flirtatious behavior. This employee is not like most that have served me at Podnuh’s and I did not feel at ease. Please work on the staff.

Thank goodness the food is amazing! Nearly every time I go they multi charge my card. Never know/realize it until my bank statement comes in. There has been a second or third additional charge that is made later that exceeds the receipt total given on my receipt..
Also was told we couldn’t dine in bc they were closing soon. While time remaining was over an hour away . .. Shreve city Podnuh’s will never see a penny of my money again. If you are wise to heed this warning, ZERO IS THE GROUP SIZE SUITABLE FOR THIS ESTABLISHMENT..

This used to be my fav podnuhs location. I haven’t been in months, but I went today and me and my bf spent $40 for our food just to get a bunch of fat for the “brisket” plate and the sides were cold… (Mac and cheese and baked beans) the staff was very polite but I couldn’t even eat one piece of my brisket because it was all pure fat. I just don’t understand how whoever cut this would serve something to someone they themselves wouldn’t even eat I’m sure. $40 wasted.

the mac and cheese was delicious but the chopped brisket on my sandwich was so fatty, it was disgusting. there were a couple clumps of brisket solely because of fat.

The only thing that was worth eating was the beans and potato salad, I didn’t have the meat but I’m sure it’s how they’re still in business because the corn and potato’s had absolutely no flavor. Felt like food for the geriatric. I’ve had better school lunches than this.

Came by this location to get some food and the chicken did not look right at all ask the manager Anthony could I exchange it for a sandwich told me they can’t exchange . He finally decided to exchange the food and the sandwich was throwed together . He is very unprofessional and have a bad attitude to be a general manager I will never visit this location again and waste my money with them. Food look like dog scrapes a slap mess never again

Great and friendly staff. There are plenty of seating in the restaurant.
Now the food, the meat are a bit dry. I am very disappointed. However, the sauce is excellent. It has a bit of spice flavor (I’m not a spice eating person.). So even when the meat is not that good, I really enjoy the combination of sauce and the meat. The sides are a disappointment as well. I stopped by around 13:00 for lunch. The sides tasted like they have been sitting on the stove all morning.
So overall, I give it a three star which is it’s okay.
