Hearing great things about Captain Steve’s motivated me to try it out. My waitress was very kind. The hush puppies are very good, especially when combined with the honey butter spread. The blooming onion is tasty and appeared to be fried in clean grease the fried. Flounder also was very tasty with a clean fry. The salt and pepper option was good, but I probably would prefer regular for less pepper spice. The collard greens were tasty. This spot is solid.

Super huge platters! Called ahead and didn’t have to wait long, they were very busy! Rightfully so! The amount of food they give is just ridiculous and equally good!! My to-go platter was everything—perfectly seasoned and perfectly fried!

The dining area was very cold in temperature. The atmosphere was uncomfortable due to the cold temperature of the area. The service was okay, but she kept forgiving the silverware, drinks, and overcharged our ticket for 3. The food was under seasoned and lukewarm. The 3 of us will not go back.

We just happen to stop in because we were in the area. It turned out to be a great decision. They put fresh hush puppies on the table with sweet butter for a starter . Our waitress was Pam. She was very knowledgeable and helped us out with picking something great. It took a while for her to get to us, but not too long because it was a Sunday after church. I met the manager. He’s a cool guy. I got the salad with chicken on top and it was great. I also got the fish sandwich and you wouldn’t believe how it looked and how it came. I highly recommend the fish sandwich. Another person had shrimp on their plate and it was perfect. This restaurant had a nice vibe wasn’t too loud. They had a few TVs folks were watching the game. (Go Panthers ) the restrooms were clean. The first stall behind the door has a sink in it, and the other stalls have just toilets. The restaurant was nicely decorated. A nice ocean vibe . The restaurant was set at a good temperature finally a place that wasn’t too cold or too hot. They have plenty of free parking . discounts are as follows. They have a senior citizen discount at like 10 percent and a military discount I think was 20%

My first time here and will definitely be back. Stopped in for lunch and ordered the whole salt and pepper catfish. The plate came with 5 (FIVE) large catfish and 2 sides for only $9.00! The tea was $2.99. I didn’t think you could get this quantity and quality of food anywhere these days. Plus, the service was old school friendly. Give’em a try .

Captain Steve’s never disappoints! The calamari, fried shrimp, fried white fish, and chicken tenders were all amazing. On our second visit, we tried the marinated beef tips—come on, absolutely delicious! The service was excellent both times. Lindsey took such great care of us—thank you for making our visits even better. Keep up the great work!
