This place was great.
We come to town a few times a year and decided to try this place.
Glad we did.
Staff was beyond friendly.
We ordered the chicken sandwich which was a great fried chicken sandwich. Plenty of pickles and flavor.
The bulgogi was good. I always worry when a place has large variety of foods but this place knew what they were doing.
The waffles were some of the best we’ve had and we pride ourselves on our own homemade waffles.
The egg sandwich was also great.
The Vietnamese coffee was spot on.
This is ow a destination for us when we visit the hot springs.
Highly recommend!

Absolutely the best breakfast in town. Always a great experience laughing with staff and eating delicious wonderful creations. You’ll want to try everything on the menu. They will make anything vegan or vegetarian as well. They roast their own coffee beans and have the best coffee in town as well. My wife and I live in Pagosa full time and are there for coffee almost every morning. They reopen from 2-6 for happy hour and dinner and yes, they have the best (and most creative) pizza in town too. They serve locally made beer and $5 cocktails. Along with the friendly staff and quick service, this place is a 5+ star restaurant. As a local, I am so happy the owners Bart and Christy are in this small town. They have created something truly unique and wonderful.

I am so glad we found this place for breakfast. They have Thai-inspired breakfast items that are so delicious. The flavors are well chosen and combined perfectly in balance with each other.

If you’ve read my reviews, you’ll know that when I travel I like to experience the outstanding and unique offerings wherever I am staying. Black Bart’s Brunch definitely checked both of those boxes. Chicken and Waffles is definitely a favorite of mine, and since BBB had them, I had to try them. Normally I’m a straightforward maple syrup guy with this dish, but when Bart himself told me the Nashville Hot version was popular, I decided to go for it. Couldn’t have made a better decision. Also ended up sharing an order of the Waffle Sweet Potato fries with their special caramel dipping sauce. They were perfectly crispy with just the right amount of salt, and you definitely don’t want to miss the caramel sauce!

We came here based on reviews and local recommendations and were not disappointed. It didn’t hurt that the waffles were something we don’t see on menus that often.
The food was fresh and hot and the atmosphere was really pleasant and our server was excellent. The coffee was really good and I actually got one for the road. We’ll be back when we come through, for sure.

Do yourself a favor and just go! Unique menu options, fresh food and fresh ingredients. Drinks are also phenomenal. We got the jasmine pitaya with boba and the matcha the Korean fried chicken bowl and BEALT was phenomenal. If they were closed the next two days, we’d be back here every morning for breakfast/brunch. Overheard another couple that had been here three days in a row— they got it right. P.S. Thank you Joplyn for being such an energetic, kind soul! Amazing service!

I was sad that the San Juan Eatery was closed and was reco.me ded this place. DID NOT DISAPPOINT New favorite Pagosa Eatery! Highly recommend

Absolutely adorable place and wonderful food and staff! I am celiac and they have gluten free fried chicken and gluten free waffles! (And many more options). Joplyn was so sweet and very knowledgeable of celiac! Must try this place! Oh and the coffee was delicious too!

Joplyn was the most outstanding waitress, she was great with everyone including our kiddos. The food was addictingly good. The coffee was amazing. The staff was welcoming the atmosphere was wonderful and nice. I definitely will be coming back every time I’m in pagosa.

Trust me, there’s something on this menu that you will want for breakfast or brunch or lunch.
I had such trouble deciding. I ended up with chicken waffle with the Asian sauce. And my significant other got the Hash Mash. 6 out of 5 stars for both. Coffee was too notch.
A lot of effort put into this menu. A lot of effort put into the quality and recipes. Staff was so friendly!
We were able to sit outside with our dog which was a bonus because it was a hot day. We were in a nice shady spot. I loved everything about this experience and recommend stopping here. I would definitely come back the next time I’m passing through.
