This is a really nice, high quality diner with consistently excellent food. You can genuinely taste the quality and freshness in everything they serve. I especially love the fresh orange juice — it’s a small detail, but it really shows they care.

The chicken and waffles were absolutely amazing, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Breakfast here is a must, and all of their lunch options are just as delicious. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

It does get crowded at times, which just proves how good it is. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by and giving this place a try. Definitely worth it.

Was visiting the area this past weekend and came here not just once but twice during. The staff was absolutely great and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious both times we went. Whether you come for breakfast or dinner, I’m gonna go ahead and say you’ll be covered either way you go here.

I visit the Poconos once a month, and stopping here for lunch has become part of my routine. If you’re looking for fancy dining, this isn’t the place—but if you want good, classic family-style diner food, this spot delivers.
The portions are very generous; most of the time you’ll be asking for a box to take leftovers home. The turkey avocado sandwich with coleslaw is really good, the cheddar soup is hot, comforting, and full of flavor, and the pancakes are huge and very filling.
It feels like everyday American comfort food—the kind you’d find in the heart of middle America. I come from New York once a month, and I appreciate that the breakfast menu is available during lunch too. A solid, reliable place with satisfying food

Every time we visit the Poconos, we make the routine of stopping at Jubilee Restaurant. The Breakfast Kingdom is a fantastic family-run restaurant that serves wholesome, fulfilling breakfasts in generous portions. You receive a lot of value for your money! It is a one-stop shop for all your dining needs, with excellent salads and apps as well. We got there right before 2 o’clock, which is when they start serving lunch. My very favorite breakfast dish is steak and eggs, which consists of a boneless 8-ounce ribeye steak, a side of chimichurri, two eggs, home fries, and toast.

I’ve been here twice now, and both experiences were pretty bad. For context, I am Type 1 diabetic, and need to take insulin about 15 minutes before eating; too soon and I risk passing out, too late and I eat cold food.

The first time, we had a group of 6 adults and 2 kids, and after explaining my situation and asking the server how long it would take for our order, he said “no more than 15-20 minutes”. 15 minutes later, when my insulin was kicking in, I asked if it would come out soon, and he said he had just put the order in, but only for the other half of the table. He “couldn’t remember what the other half had ordered” (?!). He didn’t apologize or even appear to think anything was wrong. Another server brought out fries immediately to prevent my impending coma, but after serving the remaining dishes, the manager came out and told us we shouldn’t be annoyed, because people make mistakes.

The second visit, months later, we came with 6 adults and 3 kids. When I explained my situation and asked the server how long it might take to receive the food, she looks at me like I’m asking her to stand on her head, and saying “I have no idea, who knows? What? I mean, I don’t know, I have no idea, I guess it could be… 20 minutes?! Or more?”. Out of the hundreds of times I’ve asked this question when dining out, not once has a server said they “have no idea” nor treated me like it was an absurd question. They could all easily (and reliably) estimate the time, and in a handful of cases, said they would go ask the kitchen. They understood.

To top it off, they then gave me a really rare hamburger instead of the medium I ordered, and didn’t bring any of the kids meals’ cookies.

Not coming here again.

A great sit-down locally owned spot known as the Breakfast Kingdom , serving up fabulous breakfasts with generous portions that are as delicious as they are satisfying. You definitely get bang for your buck! Apps and salads are solid too, making it a well-rounded spot for any meal. Comfort Island Salad was delish and those fluffy pancakes still leave my mouth watering.

Only go here for wings, served Thursday and Sunday. Absolutely delicious. They’ve got tons of different flavors, of which I’d definitely recommend the Thai Peanut and the Mango Habanero. Other than wings, the food is very mediocre.

We stopped in the other day and sat at the bar. The bartender arrived around the same time we did, but we waited about 15 minutes while she counted the register before even being acknowledged. Understandable that opening tasks need to get done, but a quick “I’ll be right with you” would have gone a long way.

When my husband asked for a recommendation, she seemed uninterested in offering any suggestions. I then asked for a drink menu and ordered one of the specialty drinks without alcohol. The bartender insisted it was “basically a cranberry and seltzer,” which isn’t what I had ordered, but I eventually gave up and went with it. Ironically, cranberry and seltzer is quite a bit cheaper than the drink on the menu.. so I suppose we saved money, though it didn’t leave much incentive to tip generously.

My husband also tried to order a drink that came with blue cheese stuffed olives from the menu. We were told they weren’t available because they hadn’t been made yet.. apparently they still hadn’t been an hour later when he asked again.

The food itself was good, but the overall experience at the bar made us feel more like an inconvenience than customers. Unfortunately, that’s enough reason for us not to return.

Stopped in on a Friday night and they were busy! No surprise there. What was a surprise was that we were seated and served in 15 minutes! We had the crock of French onion soup, the edelweiss fries (the pot roast is always perfect) and the fire island burger. Sweet potato tots were tasty too. If you’re looking for some warm comfort food and an upbeat atmosphere check it out.
