Visited Ramona’s for Valentine’s Day especially so that my wife could have the Indian Taco. It lived up to the hype — delicious!
They had the Combination Dinner as one of the daily specials and the waitress said they would happily do substitutions. I swapped the tamale out for a chicken burrito instead. We ordered the Chips with Salsa to get started. I recommend getting the mixed chips — the Corn chips are sprinkled with chili powder which gives them a little kick; while the fried Flour chips were also legit. The chunky salsa had good spicy flavor without overpowering the senses.
After devouring all the chips and salsa, we didn’t have room to eat the entire entrees. So we took some home to enjoy later. As a result, I can’t comment on the Taco’s taste — however, it looked great. My chicken Burrito and beef Enchilada were both very good. Our server kindly brought more hot Salsa to use with our meals.
Meanwhile, there were a couple of negatives that affected our experience. 1) they were having plumbing problems which caused water on part of the floor. The servers apologized for that issue. 2) The bill had a “procurement fee” added on. When I questioned it, the server said it was their credit card merchant’s fault, that they had signs posted [albeit very small ones], and that they would take it off if I paid cash. That exchange and the wet floor put a damper on our evening — so I am lowering my rating by 1 star.
Overall, we enjoyed the food. The server was friendly and helpful (it’s really not her fault that management is passing along the card processing fee). We will probably return with cash in hand when the weather improves so that we can have their Indian Taco again.

I love trying to support local but this is the second time Ramona’s has sent what literally looks like trash or completely denied any wrong doing. Yes their Indian taco is good but after having horrible food it’s not worth it. Order was sent through DoorDash and the picture of pickup was the same direction and placement of how the driver left it. The lady on the phone tried to say it was the drivers fault. No ma’am that was all you guys. The pictures are not accurate as well and she’ll try to blame that on DoorDash as well. Last time I ordered it was online through your website. They said they never got the order yet I still paid for it. She argued about that and I gave up and said give me a refund (never got that). You can go any where else to get food a hundred times better that doesn’t come from the trash. Highly recommend doing so!

Great food. Very fresh. It was a bit of a wait, but it was a great value, and each plate was huge. The hot salsa is chunky with just the right amount of heat. The guacamole was amazing with lots of lime. I love tostadas and was not disappointed. The chili bowl was filling. We also split the #7 and left satisfied.

My husband and I usually make Indian tacos at home, but have been wanting to try them at Ramona’s for a while since it’s their specialty. They didn’t disappoint! They are open 4pm to 8pm on Monday, 12-8 Tuesday through Saturday, and closed on Sunday. We went on a Monday at around 5:30, right before dinner rush. The place was almost completely empty at first but filled up with large groups of all ages very quickly around 6. The servers were super busy, but did a fantastic job and were extremely friendly and helpful throughout (even looking up their wifi password for me mid-rush).
Some of the customers had small kids with them, and they all seemed very happy with their food too.
We both ordered Indian tacos with chicken ($11.49 – a dollar more than ground beef and 100% worth every penny), soda, and a basket of mixed corn and flour nachos with fresh, hot salsa to share. The flour nachos are spectacular, I could honestly eat a bucket load of those if no one stopped me. The tacos are Huge, stacked with toppings and meat. So big that we took most of the nachos and salsa home for a snack. All ingredients tasted super fresh. The bill was just short of 35 bucks, which I consider fantastic in this economy.
The restaurant has plenty of tables, but they have a few outside as well, and parking is in the street in front of the restaurant.
I don’t know if there is any other place that serves Indian tacos in town but tbh, it doesn’t really matter. It’s Ramona’s for me!

Everything we’ve had here is great, and the meals are affordable! Anytime I can get really good food for around ten bucks, I am a happy camper. The Works is an appetizer that can feed at least four people. My husband loves the giant taco. Everything on the menu is good. All of the combination dinners are the best deal in Omaha. They constantly have specials, so follow their Facebook page. Their hot sauce is not TOO hot, and it is so good. Really, you could eat it with a spoon like a gazpacho. Recommendations:
Indian taco
6 taco special
Giant Taco
Tamale/enchilada dinner
Giant Burrito
I could go on. Everything we’ve tried is delicious, and we love to support this restaurant. They take cards, but it helps them out if you can pay in cash. Don’t live in Florence? Ramona’s is seriously worth the drive across town. Oh, and we recently discovered the onion rings served with nacho cheese sauce. Very good. The breading stays on and it’s the perfect ratio of onion to breading.

Big portions. We ordered Bean dip with chips, loaded potato skins, which was meat and cheese on top of sliced potatos. Indian tacos, they were big & good. A bowl of chili. Friendly staff. Quiet atmosphere.

The food was pretty good. We tried the enchiladas and the Indian Tacos, both beef. Service was prompt and the prices, reasonable. I’d eat here again. A nice small operation for that personal feel. The dining room was inviting.

If you enjoy Mexican food, don’t come here. Nice people though.
Out of guacamole, the food took 30 minutes for a bean burrito and a cheese enchilada, and it was dripping grease (cheese fat likely)
