Since opening our first location nearly a decade ago on Newport Beach’s iconic peninsula, Sessions West Coast Deli has redefined the idea of a neighborhood sandwich shop. Sessions was brought to life from a collaboration between highly driven Orange County born and raised dreamers-slash-entrepreneurs Matt Meddock, Beckham Thomas, and Chef Max Schlutz. The best spot for a great meal and outdoors time with family and friends. We love going on Tuesdays when kids eat free! They can run around and play in the expansive (and safe/contained) outdoor area while the adults connect and relax around the fire pit.

Sweet & Spicy Brussels Sprouts are delicious as are the Rosemary Skinny Fries. But we’d dine there more frequently if they would offer a good veggie burger! I’m sure it would be popular and how hard can it be??

If you’re looking for the crunchiest and yummiest fries in town, look no further! Their spicy crunchy chicken is super tasty with perfect balance of heat and sweetness. Double burger was also great portion and served with tasty sauce on the buns. Their kids menu is very versatile, we tried their quesadilla that was huge and could easily serve two kids. Also their kid’s burger was good portion and yummy. The location is cute with lake view. Their service also didn’t disappoint, specially Mahdis who was super nice and attentive. Highly recommend this cute hidden place!

The staffs are very friendly and the environment of dinning is relaxing for family and friends gathering on a Saturday afternoon. Overall food has lots of flavor and different layers of taste. I like the French fries the best! The burger and sandwich are good but a little salty for me.

Sadly, it’s our last time to go to Sessions.
We’ve been going to Session’s for late breakfast when the husband has chiro and we’ve always enjoyed the food and the vibe.
Not today though.
Staff heard my husband’s order wrong and wasn’t even apologetic about it. She even insisted he specifically ordered what she was serving us so my husband said he wouldn’t coz it was Friday and we don’t eat chicken or any kind of meat. He said he wanted the large spicy Brussels sprouts and she said she’d cancel the spicy chicken sandwich for refund and ring up the correct one.
And after waiting a bit for the order, my husband got impatient and went to the counter and said he’d just box it coz it was taking too long and she said okay it will just take a short time. Apparently she didn’t ring it yet and got confused. Again.
So it’s 1030am now and my husband hasn’t had breakfast except for coffee at home. I didn’t finish my food anymore and we left.
Not going back there now. Too bad coz we like the food a lot. This one girl ruined it.

I love Sessions but was very disappointed at my last visit. Service was very slow at the Woodbridge location on 2/27. The person at the counter was also acting as food runner. As a result we had to wait a long time to place our order and quite a line formed. Also took a long time to get pit food. There wer three in our party, all on the same number. Our food did not come out together. One of our party finally had to go back to the counter to get her food. It was a busy day, but I have never experienced this kind of service before. Hope this gets better.

I recently tried the Thai Chop Salad here, and it was absolutely delicious! Fresh, vibrant ingredients with the perfect balance of flavors and textures — crisp vegetables, a hint of sweetness, and just the right amount of dressing. Not only was the food amazing, but the service made my visit even better. Mahdis was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming, making sure I had everything I needed. Great food and exceptional service — I’ll definitely be coming back!
