Holy cow was this a RIP OFF!! $85 for 3 crappy meals.. I have no idea why this place is crowded, food portions were small and WAY overpriced. We got a pork tenderloin dinner and a country fried steak dinner both were ($22) and a tuna melt ($14)had to upgrade the sandwich for another $4 to get french fries and a small cup of soup with it . So $18 for a tuna melt… where to start…the pork tenderloin was small deep fried probably previously frozen pieces of Some meat blend.. pork tenderloin should be a pounded out piece of pork that is battered and deep fried.. the brown gravy was so dull in flavor i had to add a bunch of salt and pepper to get any flavor at all, and the mashed potatoes were soupy.. clearly it’s all instant gravy instant potatoes and frozen pork. I’m not paying $22 for a meal like that. It was on point with like hospital cafeteria
food. The country fried steak was small, but had flavor…. Again potatoes were soupy! Why on earth anyone would pay over $20 for these meals is completely beyond me.. they came with your choice of soup or salad. The chicken noodle soup was terrible. The noodles were absolute mush. I’ve seriously had instant bagged soup from Aldi that taste way better than this !! And sides with dinner were frozen veggies with no seasoning… plus with the tuna melt french fries were not even cooked all the way… and sandwich was super skimpy….im still in shock we walked out of there paying $85 after tip for 3 crappy meals. We didn’t even get anything to drink.! Will never return… way too many great options nearby for less money and bigger portions

I really love Huck Finn Restaurant, I visit very often, sometimes even late night after hanging out with the ladies and we want some good food and coffee. The staff are really cool and great. It’s a comfortable atmosphere with plenty space and parking lot has quite a few parking spaces also. The have a room with slots and serve up fresh baked goodies. Mostly it’s affordable, the prices aren’t bad at all, I’ll forever stop and grab something to eat at Huck Finn. I’ve got all my family and friends coming to enjoy the service and food now. We always dine in.

A great neighborhood chain where there’s two in Oaklawn and one in the chimney park. When you don’t want to cook or do dishes, you can come here and have breakfast on a lazy Saturday morning and it’s very busy and you can have a $16 elephant sized donut for your family of 10 people. It’s a fun place. The food is OK, but there is a lot of it and for example for 1895 with liver and onions you can get a free soup or salad, a dessert of a doughnut, Jell-O, ice cream, or rice, pudding (your choice) and hashbrowns along with your so there is no wonder why you have a lot of people coming here because you can have food to take home and not have to cook. There is plenty of open parking and there’s also a little video gaming room. Friendly staff and fast cooking.

This is a much better spot than the cell phone lot to wait for someone’s flight to land. The service is good. The food is classic diner fare with a bonus of a nice assortment of donuts to go. The gravy is top notch. Good stuff. Oh and they do have electronic gaming if that is in your baliwick.

My wife introduced me to Huck Finn’s, they serve up some yummy pancakes but have plenty of other breakfast, lunch and dinner options. It takes us almost an hour to get there, but worth the drive!!

5 stars all around. After a full day of traveling, 3 hour delay in Houston due to the government shut-down, and shortage of air traffic controllers, we made it to Chicago. We got our rental and drove straight to Huck Finn’s around 12:00 am. I had the 2 eggs any style, with bacon, it comes with toast and hash. That hit the spot for me. Everything was so tasty, Oh, I added the chicken noodle soup. Everything tasted home-style. I am going back again this morning for breakfast.

I received 3 pieces of bacon , 3 scrambled eggs and 2 pieces of normal white bread for almost 18 dollars …. The saddest little meal for the same price as a high quality pub burger…..also got no veteran discount blown away at the prices

Whoever is running this place….. thank you! I went during a heavy snowstorm and the staff were so attentive. These days it’s more challenging to find top tier service at restaurants for some reason, but they get it. Not just our amazing waitress, but the front desk staff, and who I believe was the manager! Made me and my guest feel like VIP. It felt like I was eating at home. The warmest of the staff was just the beginning. Hand down best pancakes I’ve ever had at any diner. It was so simple, yet perfected. The food was so good. For being my first time there. I was extremely impressed. I still think about those pancakes! If you’re considering giving them a try, do it. You and your stomach will be happy you did.

The restaurant was packed but expected for a Saturday morning. My son and I were seated immediately in a comfy booth. Maddie came and took our order within 5 minutes. We got The Becky Hatcher, a Belgian waffle with powdered sugar a glass of apple juice, and a side of hashbrowns. Delicious!! All of it!! I ordered my Mom a Turkey BLT to go which was delicious also. I tasted it before I delivered it. Everything was $68.05 minus her tip. I left $7.00. You have to upgrade a sandwich or burger for $4.00 to get fries and a cup of soup which makes it a little pricy. They should just make every item $20 and call it a day. Worth a visit.
