HOT PRETZELS
Two oversized pretzels served with beer cheese and Tuckerman’s mustard. The pretzels were so good that I devoured the first one immediately and had to order a second before the meal was even over. They had a perfect golden crust with a warm, soft center, and the mustard was incredibly flavorful. Truly the best hot pretzel I’ve ever had.
HARVEST SALAD
A fresh, vibrant mix of arugula, spinach, strawberries, pickled peaches, blueberries, red onion, and sunflower seeds topped with grilled chicken and dressed in a maple lemon vinaigrette. The fruit added brightness, the pickled peaches gave a fun tangy twist, and the vinaigrette tied everything together with a sweet citrus finish. Light, but satisfying.
A wonderful lunch with generous flavors and unforgettable views of the mountains. Rosebrook Bar was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a truly memorable meal.
Service was slow.
Atmosphere with the views and charm of the Mount Washington Hotel built in 1902 was great.
It was very awkward the whole “seat yourselves” thing… we had to compete with other patrons to get a seat for us and our 2 kids. Very challenging. I don’t want to feel as if I’m in a competition just to eat a meal with my kids. But once we fought for our table and got a server, Riley made us feel comfortable and welcomed. He was the only reason we would come back.
Right away you can tell they were closing up. They were emptying the bar area, etc. then someone thought it was a good idea to start mopping with what seemed to be straight bleach, literally everywhere including under our table. I asked if we should move to the other side, she said no, she was just trying to get things done so she could leave early. I complained about the bleach smell, and she stopped and walked away. The smell was so strong we moved to the bar, which we were told that the bar was closing. By this point it was 8:30. I double checked the closing time and it was 9pm. I said we were just waiting for our food. At that point we were just about to cancel the order but we saw the waiter coming with the food.
I’m giving two stars instead of one only because the waiter was extremely nice. Another server told us that the manager spoke to the woman who was mopping. I would have expected the manager to come apologize but they just walked past us like nothing happened.
If the restaurant is going to treat customers poorly in the final hour, just close an hour early. It was very unprofessional and felt like a 2nd rate cafeteria, which is surprising for an Omni hotel. My recommendation is to eat early and brings snacks with you for later in the day.
