Plenty of tasty food and drink, my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed them. Lucknow’s Royal Briyani was fantastic, wish I had more gravy. Amritsari fish was savory and I like it. The paneer my friend ordered was delicious. The Emperor’s Rose was sweet and refreshingly cool. On top of these, Charlotte helped make my friend’s birthday extra special by giving her a slice of cake! Thank you for the amazing experience, she was very full and happy for the remainder of the night as well as the rest of us. I highly recommend this restaurant for not only it’s fantastic food, but excellent service too.

My Delhi genuinely sits up there with the best Indian food in Newcastle. I would put it right alongside Khai Khai, which says a lot.
From the moment we arrived, the staff set the tone. Friendly, welcoming and confident in their recommendations, especially when it came to explaining portion sizes. That kind of knowledge makes ordering much easier and shows they know their menu inside out.
The restaurant was buzzing. It was busy, full of conversation and energy, but still felt comfortable rather than chaotic. It is clearly somewhere people come to relax and properly enjoy their evening.
The food is where it really shines. The Lucknows Royal Biryani was rich and deeply flavoured, the Delhi Chicken Tikka was beautifully cooked, and the Onion Bhajis were crisp and full of flavour. Everything tasted authentic and carefully balanced. Nothing was overpowering, nothing overly spicy, just bold and confident flavours done properly.
One small personal preference is their service style of bringing dishes out as soon as they are ready. I know many people enjoy that approach, but it is not my favourite way to dine. That said, it is a style choice rather than a flaw.
Dessert was Gulab Jamun. I had high expectations because I have had an exceptional one before. While these arrived slightly cooler than I would have liked, the flavour and texture were spot on.
Overall, an excellent meal and somewhere I would happily return to.

Absolutely amazing, the food was unreal, really fresh! Our server Our server Sushie was brilliant. All staff were friendly. The atmosphere was great. It is a definite return!

Second time at My Delhi. The food is amazing and so fresh bursting with flavour. Staff are second to none, they are so friendly, happy to help and always a smile on their face. We had Shruthi as our server and she was brilliant and funny too! We will 100% be back again 🙂

Had a wonderful dinner here! I ordered Butter Chicken with Dum Pulao Rice. The curry was delicious and just the right portion for me.
Shout out to Charlotte for being so informative about the menu and has such a lovely smile! Definitely recommend this place. Would also recommend to make a reservation ahead.

It’s not often I find service a bit abrupt but it did here. Didn’t get the chance to experience an individual dish everything came at once detracting from a relaxed paced meal. I felt rushed which isn’t something I get living in the middle of the Mediterranean where you’re given time to savour each dish. I didn’t even have wine with the food as I hardly even sipped the cobra beer. Note I have not detracted from the food but only from the experience.

Was looking for somewhere close to Newcastle train station. I did have a concern that id be reeking of curry on the train back to Edinburgh but that wasnt the case. I honestly cant remember if I have had Indian food as good as this, ever! I did think the portion size was small, however, with that being said, the quality of the food in the end was phenomenal. And I only just managed to finish all mine so the portions turned out to be spot on.
Served by Mohan & Amber, and although the 10% service charge was already factored into the bill, i told them to take more because the whole experience was perfection. Even the decor was top class. If & when I come back to Newcastle ill defo be coming here again, its easy to see how and why they have won so so many awards. 5 stars all day long.

I visited My Delhi on two occasions recently—first on 26 January 2026 for a casual dinner with three colleagues, and again on 27 January 2026 for an official office dinner with a group of 10 colleagues. On both visits, Crystal was the lead server who took care of our table, supported by her colleagues, and her service was genuinely exceptional.
On 27 January, as the dinner was being paid for by our office, I explained clearly to Crystal that any items ordered outside the group budget would be paid by me personally. I asked her to keep my personal order completely separate from the group bill, and she handled this with absolute professionalism and accuracy. From a total group bill of approximately £270, my personal payment of £36.30 was separated, calculated, and processed perfectly—without any confusion or delay. This level of attention to detail during a busy group service is truly commendable.
Crystal is warm, welcoming, calm, and reassuring. Her friendly smile and composed manner instantly make you feel you are in safe hands. Even during a large and busy service, she remained attentive, professional, and genuinely caring. To be honest, when I see her serving, I feel confident that everything will be handled correctly—and it always was.
The food experience was good and consistent as usual, though I would like to offer a small and honest piece of feedback: the naan bread was not as crispy or hot as expected and felt slightly soggy on this occasion. This did not affect the overall experience significantly, but it’s worth mentioning for improvement.
That said, service can elevate a dining experience, and Crystal truly does that. If I return to My Delhi again, it won’t be only for the food—it will also be because of her outstanding service and professionalism.
Highly recommended, and special thanks to Crystal for making both visits memorable.

Delicious food. I ordered their Lucknow biryani and gulab jamun. Both were delicious. Very generous portions. The gulab jamun in particular is highly recommended. Absolutely authentic and delicious – soft, juicy, beautiful texture.
The biryani came with raita and curry, and had very generous portions of chicken.

Crystal was a fantastic host. Super friendly but not over bearing and a wonderful smile for her customers. She recommended most of the dishes we ate. I have to say they were all delicious!
