Tua Cocina may be your typical Mexican restaurant with the usual menu items and Aztec decorations adoring the walls, but with one big difference. That difference is that the locals seem to treat this place as a playground for their undisciplined kids. Let me first give credit to the staff for their patience and courtesy. The food was average and the typical (but much appreciated) free Quesadilla, chips and salsa, and desserts were very good. However, the manager should have reminded the unconcerned parents of the wild children that this is a place of business and not a playground. The kids (more than 6 of them) were literally running all over the place in and out of the restaurant. Banging into tables and interfering with the staff as they tried to serve customers. There was one musician trying to entertain and play guitar where the kids were in his space, touching his equipment and distracting him from playing. Their lazy parents were completely ignoring these “free to be” urchins while they sat unphased and ordered more drinks. The restaurant is not large and the tables are close together which made the noise and disruption of these wild kids even more acute. As the tables filled up, and the kids got louder, it was difficult to get the attention of our server to place another order, or get a check, because the staff was overwhelmed. Perhaps we were there on a bad night. But, from other feedback I’ve received, this does not seem to be a one off incident. In my opinion it is not worth the trouble to find out or return.

Went to Tua Cucina on a Saturday night. Excellent food and great service! Everything we tried was delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the portions were generous with plenty of dinner and appetizer choices. Loved the strolling guitarist, such a great voice and a wonderful touch to the evening. Highly recommend Tau Cucina if you’re in the area!

Pleasantly surprised big time! Once ur inside you get the total real world Mexican vibe. While waiting for my takeout order I made my way over to the bar. Was chatting with the bartender who was super cool interactive talking to me bout tequila etc, turned out he was the owner. Needless to say I hung around even after I was told my order was ready lol. Ok so the food yeah real authentic plentiful on point. Impressed so yeah hit this joint up!

We stopped here while on a hike on a very rainy day. We were soaked. The food arrived quickly, it was good and the prices were very reasonable. You’ll want to pay in cash. As many businesses are doing, there is a charge to use a credit card.
