How has this spot been open for over 10 years and I am JUST learning about it now? This hidden gem is tucked on a corner of Richey Ave in Collingswood and has a lot going for it! They popped up on my FYP on tik tok and that shawarma was calling my name.
If you know me, you know I LOVE middle eastern/Mediterranean cuisine. I think it’s the best the world has to offer. Zena’s offers the entire experience. I need to come back here with a hungry group of friends or family so we can order an assortment of plates, dips, and salads.
Zena’s is starting to go a bit viral for their Crispy Syrian Shawarma sandwich, and once you take a bite you’ll understand why. Fresh ingredients, made to oders, and a real taste of the region.
Seriously, get over to this spot and try them out! Plenty of seating inside and takeout available as well.

Stumbled upon this place driving thru South Jersey. This is an amazing hidden gem here. The food is amazing, hot and fresh. Tons of seating, and it’s beautifully decorated. They have the viral chicken shawarma everyone’s been wanting to try. Stop by you won’t regret it

Delicious freshly made food. Kay was so helpful explaining dishes to us. Good presentation and wonderful service. Will definitely be back. We ordered the vegetarian platter, mixed kabobs, chicken schwarma and shrimp kabobs; pistachio baklava for dessert was so good!

What a wonderful neighborhood gem! I’ve been going to Zena’s for years and they are still blowing me away. This time I had the Shish Taouk (Chicken Kabob) entree and lentil soup. The flavors are absolutely amazing, the chicken and veggies were so juicy, and the bread was fresh and perfect.

We stopped here on a trip to New Jersey and were pleasantly surprised to find this super place. The food was fresh and delicious. It was prepared for us for pick up and ready when they told us it would be. The staff were kind and helpful. everything was fresh and delicious. The flavors in the Mediterranean food we’re well layered, and exactly what we had hoped for. We will be back again. Make sure you stop in and get a great meal.

Food was mediocore to say the least. It tasted and looked like it was microwaved. Funny enough we heard the microwave beep in the distance. The meat was dry and the contents were lacking. You would think $9 for a sandwich, could warrant more than three charred pieces. The server wasn’t attentive at all. He never came to check on us, ask about our meal and freshen our drinks. Did I mention he gave us warm water and forgot my feta that I requested. Truthfully, it was an overall bad experience and won’t be returning on my next NJ visit. I was hoping to get some reprive from our Irma evacuation. But, hey… Thankfully we’re safe!
