This has quickly become my favorite spot for BBQ and Oysters. The staff is so polite and attentive. The smoked wings are some of the best in town with a side of house made bleu cheese. Julian is a great bartender and always makes the experience so much better. The music hits just the right vibe. I was so glad to be able to watch the Olympics on their 12+ TV’s. I can’t wait to come back!

Solid revamp and sleeper sports bar! Blu has gone thru a few transitions but im thinking this is the best iteration. Some major changes – TVs wall to wall! Will be a great game night spot. Outdoor full bar. Arcade (good for whole family).
As for food – didn’t have full entrees, went for happy hour. Good value! $5 mocktails (annoying when no alcohol drinks start costing 12+). Half off oysters. Generous portions at reasonable prices.
We got 2 dozen oyster, fried chicken livers and the loaded baked potato is so massive its a meal by itself.
Service was notable – swarming with staff and the manager came by twice to personally ask of our satisfaction.
The only real negative – the normally $40 a dozen oysters – were shucked a bit shotty – not disconnected from the shell requiring me to dig them off, and kinda tear them up to eat em. Also not served with Mignonette as you typically get. However, for HALF off happy hour, i can hardly complain.
In all – an upgrade to the reliable, go-to neighborhood spot, now as a prime sports spot.

Stopped by on the way out of town with some family. Greg was our server, and he was excellent. Food came out quick and was hot and fresh. I got the smoked turkey breast plate, the portions were great and it was priced well for the amount I got. I will definitely stop by again the next time I’m in town.

Omgosh I just picked up the best 1/2 chicken in charleston. It was affordable too! The Brussels spouts, Mac and cheese and fries all hit the spot. I so highly recommend this place. We got it to go and it was ready in 10mins!

Had a hair in my food.. The poor waitress brought me a beer (not the one ordered )on the house. I was charged for it.. Not onevtime did a .manager come out. They huge her out. No wonder nobody wants to eat there. Will never go back! Telll your cooks to wrat hairnets. GROSS NOTHING WAS DONE

We were looking for fresh seafood, and Blu Oyster did not disappoint us. Local parentheses Virginia.) oysters on the half shell were delicious! Grilled shrimp, hush puppies slaw and salad. We’re just what I wanted. The Keylime pie was divine. We’ll definitely return.

I am actually shocked at how delicious the pulled pork barbq was. I don’t even know how to describe or compare. It was smoky and (I got it to go) the daycare on the side were very good. I didn’t typically like sauce. I want just plain good old smoked meat and that’s how it tasted to me. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were absolutely incredible. Attentive, super friendly, on top of things, great food suggestions. I also had the raw oysters, which were delicious. They’re fresh from VA or other close by states. Whatever’s best, in season. I will come to Blu Smoke every chance I get and I hope you’re experience is as great as mine! Love love love this place!!

We had an absolutely amazing experience here! Our waitress was unbelievably attentive and so friendly and sweet! She also was knowledgeable about every item on the menu and were all the shellfish came from! All of the food and drinks were amazing! They had a great selection of food, especially if you love seafood. The chef also came out at the end of our meal to meet us, which was such a nice gesture. Highly recommend!

For a truly fantastic seafood experience, with a very inviting atmosphere and service, then Blu Oyster Sushi & Seafood is the venue to go to. Our server Rachel was extremely attentive and very helpful with explaining the menu. With a wide array of assorted seafood and land lover dishes, you’ll never go wrong with whatever your palate is savoring for. Top shelf coctails, wines and a a nice craft beer selection to pair with any meal. Great food, service, prices, and overall experience were all perfect! Keep up the great work !

Had a great experience at Blu Oyster Sushi & Seafood in John’s Island, South Carolina! I messed up the Resy reservation and chose outside seating but they accommodated us inside at the bar. The bartender was great! Courteous, swift and knowledgeable of the drinks and menu. He made an incredible dirty martini and their homemade blue cheese olives were fabulous. The food was fresh and delicious as well. We had the lobster poutine which had a nice amount of lobster with a delicious sauce and crispy fries. Loved the crispy rice with tuna. A good combo of crunchy and the Asian style tuna. The Caesar salad was fresh and crisp and the dressing was fantastic. We also shared the lobster roll. Made perfectly!! The roll was fresh and not soggy and the fries were crispy! The desserts were amazing as well and the drink options!!! Would love to go back again when I’m back in Charleston!
