What a great spot it is. While walking along the river, you will definitely come across lots of cool restaurants (small & big), up to you, where you stop and enjoy!
Beat Kitchen on the Riverwalk has a spacious riverside patio with beautiful views of the river and surrounding historical buildings.
The view from here is too good to miss.
It is a casual waterfront restaurant featuring a full-service bar and cocktail menu. The food menu consists of Tacos, burgers, thin-crust pizza, and other items. Order at the counter, the server will bring your orders, have a beer or quick snack, and enjoy the view.
I won’t comment on the food (I ordered shrimp tacos, and it was soggy- I did not like it very much), but sometimes you ignore the food and enjoy the surroundings while having a beer, this comes in that category.

Artichoke pizza was delish, black bean burger left a little wanting but fries made up for it. I’ll be thinking of the pizza for a while! You order at a window and get seated by a hostess at an open table and the food will be brought to you.
Lots of seating, we didn’t have a reservation but were able to sit right on the river which was absolutely stunning. For two drinks, pizza, and a burger: $60. Very reasonable for eating right on the water.

I had the house made black bean burger with vegan cheddar and vegan mayo. It was incredibly delicious! My Omni daughter even ordered one, and was impressed with how good it is! You can also get a Beyond version as well. The service was fast and friendly! It was really fun sitting on the River Walk watching boats pass by while eating dinner.

Fun location on the riverwalk! The beer options are decent but I don’t think they have anything on tap. The pizza with goat cheese and sun dried tomatoes was yummy but the crust wasn’t my style. It was thick and crispy. But you can’t beat the location.

Beat kitchen is one of very good restaurants near Riverwalk. We got table reservation adjacent to waterfront in river walk lane. It’s really amazing place!

Look, you’re probably not coming here because you want great food. It’s right on the river across from the Trump Tower, and it’s a nice place to spend some time. The food comes out very slowly even though they’re mostly simple dishes. I will say that the amount of bacon on the Mac & Cheese was very generous for only $2 more. It was decent enough food and a good place to hangout, but I’ll probably be trying other places along the river before coming back.

The food was decent, but the vibes were excellent. I jammed to the upbeat Spanish music that they were playing while enjoying the Chicago sunshine. The river view was gorgeous, and I loved being surrounded by happy people enjoying the summer weather. My beyond burger was good but lukewarm. The food was kinda meh. If I had more energy and knowledge, I would’ve sought out a different place on the river. Alas, Beat Kitchen still served its purpose.

Ordered the Chicken Fajitas and it was sent back to the kitchen. The cooks had no idea how to cook it properly. The peppers were raw and there was absolutely no char on anything server. This place needs to step up its game.
The manager Reggie came out and brought the chef out to talk. They don’t immediately remedied the situation and cooked it properly.
A free Maker’s Mark was offered by management for their mistake. Overall, a big pass for me. Pricey and the chicken was precooked. Not worth the money.

Employees were nice. It’s open seating but you have to order first. Seating is not comfortable, with everything being metal but it’s understandable why that is. Food was surprisingly good. Lacking in different flavors and spices but it was tasty. Bussers were really doing their job.
