The service was great — the bartenders and bar backs were all incredibly welcoming. You’re not limited to just one bartender; anyone behind the bar will happily serve you. The overall vibe was friendly and inviting.
The menu offers a wide variety of options, and the portion sizes are big. Prices are reasonable, which is always a plus.
Here’s what we tried:
Strawberry Lemon Drop (Wife’s pick): 9/10
Crab Dip: 7/10
Grilled Pork Chop: 10/10 — cooked perfectly and full of flavor
Penne Louisiana (my pick): 8/10 — rich and satisfying
We didn’t take any food photos, but trust me — you won’t be disappointed.
Highly recommend checking out Pappas Restaurant and Sports Bar! Great food, great drinks, and a great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back.
We went out of our way on the roadtrip from Annapolis to Philadelphia to pick up some crab cakes, egg rolls, and deviled eggs. The serving styles (egg roll, deviled egg) were fun and unique compliments to the hearty crab meat. And the sauces were fun, funky additions to the flavor.
If you’re visiting within even an hour of this place, it’ll be worth the detour.
Excellent service, excellent food with good selection of items and reasonable prices, big portions.
The service to start off is great despite how busy it was. There is however a dress code which comes as a surprise given it’s not a super fancy restaurant imo. Granted I have never seen anyone come dressed short of nice and presentable so I’m unsure how strict they are about it.
Food wise, we got calamari for the table and this time I got the crab imperial. I was skeptical because I always get the crab cakes and I was unsure how I would like it given how heavy it sounded but it was delicious! I have to say I preferred it over the crab cakes 1) price point 2) quantity of lump crab meat 3) enjoyable throughout as it was not dry so it paired nicely with the sides.
To be honest, the place is not that special except for the crabcakes. But those are exceptional enough to make it shine.
My crab cake was delicious!
Fish & chips were pretty good.
Oodles of fries!
Happy hour beer prices are $2.25 -score!
