We dined here a while back, while Loki, our Frenchie, was still with us. This restaurant is indeed dog friendly, however the kicker is, there are no outdoor seating, so you’ll have to bring your dog(s) inside the restaurant. Yes – dogs stay with you -inside the restaurant-. Taken aback, I asked a waitress the idea behind this and she informed me that it gets either really cold or hot in Needles, making it unsuitable for dogs to stay outside, so they just let dogs hang out inside the restaurant instead. Fair enough!

We traveled with our Doberman and Frenchie, so we got a fair share of uncomfortable looks. The waitresses that served us were the best. Not only did they calm our hysterical autistic child down and gave water to our dogs, she helped recommend a few local favorites on the menu. During our dine-in here, I think 4-5 waitresses came to say hi to our dogs and just spark a conversation about our Doberman. An elderly couple that sat across from us also took interest in our dogs and started a friendly conversation with us.

The place can be described as an old-school diner trapped in time serving fresh diner food from family kept recipes. It got that Cracker Barrel vibe too. The food was delicious and filling, using fresh ingredients. We’ll definitely stop by again if we find ourselves crossing paths with the Wagon Wheel Restaurant, but not with dogs next time out of respect for other patrons — even though it is dog friendly!

This resturant has such a nice vibe. Everyone super friendly. Service was great. Food was delicious. Finally able to stop in and glad we did. The little shop has fun items to purchase. Stickers, games, puzzles, magnets. Etc. The decor, I adore. I was originally looking for the big statue of Snoopy’s brother Spike around here. Turns out its at the musuem down the street now. Very fun place to stop at for a good bite to eat. It is a little bit of a tourist spot, but the vibe is so chill. Enjoy your next meal at The Wagon Wheel!!!

Hot, fresh, and as tasty (as in – it’s exactly what you hope your breakfast is. It doesn’t do anything new or special, but the pancakes taste like what you hope they are when you order them 🙂
Hey, some places actually can DO pancakes wrong. This restaurant doesn’t ) It’s a SOLID breakfast spot and you’ll at least go away full and satisfied.

Enjoy your meal ☺️

A classic American roadside chow spot. Route 66 and its myth all over it. Overall the place matches Route 66 – nice, a bit worn. Interesting!
Good is good- portions are really on the smaller side. Mr Fox needed two entrees to not feel hungry- this had never happened. Service was very nice and friendly and attentive. Officially it closes at 9:30pm, but at 8:30 the chairs went up. So come early. Around the main dining room is some Route 66 memorabilia.

Great place for a taste of home cooking/comfort food. I had the chicken fried steak and Josh had pot roast. Both were very good. My only complaint was the biscuit. It was hard and crumbly as though it had been reheated. Service was outstanding and the food came fast. We were in and out in 40 minutes. They even offer a way to pay at the table with your smartphone. I definitely recommend this place and would stop again if passing through.
