Decent spot to get your lobster fix. Once you place your order, that’s the last interaction we had from an employee, other than when you pick up your food. So, anticipate what you may need ahead of time, as there won’t be any table service to check on you. The food itself was good and enjoyable, and we appreciated the nice view of the boats docked outside while we ate. Skip the whoopie pie. It was very dry, not enjoyable, and the smallest I saw in Maine.

Loved, Loved, Loved this place!!!!!
We had a fabulous experience at Portland Lobster Company! The atmosphere was fantastic, and the food was absolutely excellent. Eating outside in October was such a wonderful bonus—the views and the crisp fall air made it even more enjoyable. We loved everything about it and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Portland!

Took a chance here b/c of location. It was excellent! So fresh. Loved sitting outside. You order at the bar and grab drinks, then they bring your food to the table. First time to Maine and can’t wait to visit and eat we ordered local beer-yum! Lobster roll and twin lobsters 1.4lbs each.

Location right at the port makes this a great place to experience Portland on a warm fall evening on a covered patio with live music that was actually quite good. Ordered our 1.5 lobster dinner that was everything we expected. Fresh, properly prepared, delivered to our table promptly. Good value. Worth a visit they live up to their reputation as the best!

It’s a fun counter-service restaurant, with live music when we were there. We didn’t have to wait for service or for a seat. The food was excellent, particularly the crab cake (no filler that we could discern, and among the best we’ve tasted) and the mussels (which were cooked in an amazing broth, with a slight kick to it).
The blueberry pie made for a perfect dessert!

This was our cruise port stop and decided to come here for lunch! We ordered the twin lobster platter and my husband and I shared it. It was delicious! The atmosphere is unbeatable with live music and water views! Absolutely the place to go and get your lobster meal! Highly recommend this restaurant!

The food is regrettably cold, reminiscent of Portland, Maine. The lobster roll’s bun is rather bland, and the meal, in general, was less enjoyable. I had much better lobster roll in Boston. Considering Maine’s reputation for lobster, expectations were understandably higher. The chewy, cold calamari and the Caesar salad were also disappointing. It is unfortunate that this meal resulted in a waste of sixty dollars, plus an additional twenty-four dollars for parking.

My family and I dined here during our short stay in Portland. I ordered the New England clam chowder in a bread bowl. The potatoes in the soup were hard, not many clam pieces, and the soup itself lacked flavor. My mom ordered the lobster roll. Tasted fine, but quite small. The fries were excellent!

Right in the city center, serving delicious Lobster fare… This place has live music too…
We tried the Lobster roll brushed with butter and Lobster Stew seasoned with lobster stock and a hint of sherry… The roll was decent but the Lobster Stew was pretty incredible… Must try!

Went here on a recommendation. There only open during May-Oct for tourist season. I waited along the piers until they opened at 11am. Large menu & fair prices.
Lobster Roll was tasty. Fried Calamari was a nice size portion and tasted great. Oil was s fresh. Can sit outside on the water for views, inside or on their patio.
I enjoyed the meal & the atmosphere
