I ordered the Honey Walnut Shrimp, Kung Pao Chicken, and Salt & Pepper Fish, and all three dishes were excellent. The Honey Walnut Shrimp was perfectly crisp, creamy, and sweet, with a generous portion of shrimp. The Kung Pao Chicken had bold flavor with just the right amount of heat—well balanced and satisfying. The Salt & Pepper Fish was crispy, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious.
Portion sizes were generous, and everything was served fresh and hot. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting, making it a great place to sit down and enjoy a good meal.
I would definitely come back to try more dishes and highly recommend this spot to anyone who enjoys flavorful Chinese cuisine.
Pro tip come when Yamanaka is doing a shaved ice pop up their kakigori is better than ones I’ve had in Japan.
We ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and the fried pork chops with jalapeños — both excellent. The noodles were perfectly chewy with a subtle smoky wok flavor, not too oily, and generous with chicken and vegetables. The pork chops were addictive — crispy on the outside, tender inside, with just the right kick from the jalapeños.
Service was kind and fast. Portions were generous. Prices reasonable. There’s something reassuring about a restaurant that isn’t trying to be trendy — just consistently good.
Would absolutely come back. Next time, I’m bringing more people so we can order half the menu.

1. Got in around 2pm on a Saturday but was not offered a Lunch Special menu
2. Ordered our food and server brought us our soup and served 3 bowls. After I was done cooling down my babies bowl, with spoon full in hand reaching toward by daughter, the server came back and snatched my daughter’s and I’s bowls from said “I brought the wrong soup” and took it.
3. Ok, he will correct the issue and bring a new soup right? Wrong! He took the soup from us, a few tables down and handed it to a couple. Took their soup and brought it back to us. What?!?! No fresh soup? Did the couple pick at our soup? Because we had on the one the server took back to them.
4. When it came to entree, it took really long to arrive after the soup had already come. We followed up, then server seemed lost and tried giving our food to another table. When they dropped off our orange chicken, I had to remind them we were still waiting on lo mein.
5. No one ever checked up on us or brought up the mistakes. Waited some time for the check.
So, I wanted to love this place, and the food was good, but too many quirks, no excuse for food mishap and not being offered lunch menus. My girlfriend was not fond of the experience either. Unfortunate, we won’t be back.
