I ordered the chicken and dumplings! The dumplings were great, but the chicken was horrible! The dumplings were moist and flavorful, perfect amount of gravy. The chicken on the other hand, no flavor and dry but watery like they scooped unflavored boiled chicken from a pot and threw it in the bowl and then tried to mask it with perfectly gravyed dumplings on top. I recommend ordering another dish and as one of the sides order dumplings. That’s what I’ll be doing when I have a hankerin’ for them dumplings.

Upon being seated, Amy approached to take our order. Hubby wasn’t eating. My simple order was made confusing. I pointed to the menu while ordering “Pancake Plate” with blueberry pancakes and bacon well done. She then asked if I wanted it with, or without, eggs. Not how do I want them cooked. What? Then she went into explaining the difference in cost and where to find it on the menu. (Wrong menu) My meal finally came. My eggs were done as ordered, bacon was crispy, and the two pancakes were loaded with blueberries. It even came with a side of fresh blueberry “syrup” which was a prefect addition. I enjoyed my food but didn’t like that I had an issue ordering. We were in a hurry and didn’t have time to spare. She was pretty attentive after serving my food.

We all know Cracker Barrel is consistently great at all their locations. And that is exactly why I love them! Just wanted to share some fantastic deals CB is offering at the moment. Early dine for $8.99. Also, take a meal home for only $5 bucks! This is for those of us who doesn’t have the time to cook every meal. You are getting the veggies your body needs vs an over processed burger. This is a crazy good deal!

It was mostly good. The waitress was a little bit standoffish. The chicken fried chicken came with gravy and shouldn’t have. Maybe not a big deal unless you’re deeply affected by consuming pepper in great amounts like I am. I’ll be paying for that for a day or two. Just assumed I’d want lemon in my tea, didn’t ask. All rookie stuff from what appeared to be as seasoned server. Offered me a military discount and then didn’t give it to me. I mean okay, I didn’t ask for it You offered it but.. I guess that’s how things are these days.

Value and quality has gone down throughout most of the restaurant industry and it has come to Cracker Barrel as well. Unfortunately the order was wrong and although the server said she would look into it, she didn’t.

A really good Cracker Barrel, without the massive wait times (usually). Super convenient to I-40, this place is filled with Southern favorites cooked to perfection. The store in the front also has a vast selection if gifts and candy. Our server, McKenzie was amazing and we wanted for nothing the entire time.

Lovely country atmosphere. Charming interior, the retail shop is chock full of seasonal charm, from candles, to clothing, ornaments and crockery. The dining room is large reminding us of a country kitchen. The service was exceptional, food did not take long to come out of the kitchen, all dishes were warm and cooked well. The biscuits were a little too salty but that is the only negative in our experience. A medium $$ price, family friendly restaurant.

This is a location that has not let their customers down. Food is fresh and authentic (original design) atmosphere lets you know they understand what customers want. Our waitress was friendly and engaging. Our glasses were kept full and our food was served timely, hot and fresh. Highly recommend this location.

As we drove from Gallatin, TN to Bristol, TN we were hungry but our schedule would not allow us to stop. We placed a to go order with Cracker Barrel with one 20 minutes up the road. When we got there our order was ready and food was hot. It was perfect. Food was good and prices are fair.
