Triumphs and Trials
The buffalo bar has buffalo on the walls in your food and it all gives you that bar and Yellowstone vibes. I got the meatloaf and I think it would have been better with gravy. Only problem is I don’t like gravy So that’s on me. The burgers and hand cut fries were good and the food has lots of flavor. Seasoned really well. We also tried the roast. Lots of comfort food options. My friend said they have the best salads. Looks like I’m going to have to go back and try a salad.

Oh my goodness, these were some AMAZING Burgers!! You must try the Garlic Mushroom Bison Burger! The flavor was exceptional! Our extra crispy feies were cooked to perfection and tasted great too! The seasoning was flavorful and not too salty! The regular just Bison burgers were delicious too! The atmosphere was great and our server Danni was knowledgeable and friendly, she did a great job! Thank you Buffalo Bar, you have set the bar high for the rest of the restaurants in town while we are here!

A required wait is usually and good sign! Time to stroll around the shops while waiting for the text to say our table was ready.
The place was buzzing with activity, servers were working at pace but still cheery and friendly. Menu had so many options it was hard to choose just one dish for breakfast!
Food was delicious and the coffee kept flowing.
So good we travelled again from Hungry Horse en route to the airport for a last breakfast! Definitely a ‘worth a detour’ kind of place

A great spot with very good food — which is surprisingly rare around Yellowstone National Park. The burgers are excellent: juicy, well-seasoned, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Portions are solid, flavors are spot-on, and everything comes out fresh.
The staff deserves a big plus as well — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, even when the place is busy. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, making it an ideal stop after a long day in the park. Definitely one of the better dining options in West Yellowstone and a place worth coming back to.

Great Pub and Restaurant! Whether you are in a mood for steak, Bison, Elk, or just a beer with some appetizers…this place has everything. Excellent service and greatly recommend their ribeye steak with a local IPA.

Great food and service. Friendly folks and a great place to watch college football. The pot roast sandwich was to die for. The tacos were also good. Foot came out fast and hot. Wanted the spicy dog but they were out. Good thing, because my sandwich rocked.

A very cool bar with fun decor. Service was quick and everyone was very attentive and friendly.
They have a great selection of beers and a surprisingly vast food menu.
The place was quite busy even on a Tuesday night but we were able to get a table right away. We had hoped to play trivia but apparently they’ve been too busy lately to be able to host it. What a terrible problem to have!
Anyway, highly recommend this spot. If I’m ever this way again, would definitely go back

Food was great and atmosphere was fun. The place was decorated for Halloween and was much appreciated! My only down side is this place gets crowded quick, most likely due to the fantastic food!!! 10 out of 10, would eat again. PS Try the cheese curds, they are amazing!

This is where the locals tell you to grab an amazing burger. I’ve had the bison version on separate occasions. Latest was the West Tex and I took half of it and fries on the road home. Good selection of local brews, and fits right in with the western frontier ambiance you went all the way to West Yellowstone to find. Go between 2-3 pm on a weekday and you should be able to get a table, no wait.

The patio is where it’s at! The guitarist was good and the food was excellent. I had an old fashioned to drink, brussel sprout chips and buffalo gorditas. This is the most flavor I’ve tasted in Montana yet!
