With over 20 years of Japanese culinary expertise, the owner and team consistently serve fresh, heartfelt, and authentic Japanese food in a cozy, inviting space. From the delicate décor and soft music to the diverse menu of sushi, bento, udon, and teas, the experience feels genuinely Japanese.
The restaurant is run by Nepali hands who deeply understand and respect pure Japanese taste, which clearly shows in every dish. When I spoke with the owner and the chef, they shared that they truly welcome honest reviews from Japanese people and anyone familiar with real Japanese flavors, as they want sincere feedback on whether their cuisine matches true Japanese taste.
Located conveniently near Jackson Heights on Roosevelt Avenue, the restaurant is clean, quiet, hygienic, and staffed by very welcoming people. I’m not Japanese, but having lived in Nepal surrounded by Japanese cuisine, this is one of the few places that feels truly authentic.

This is way better than average sushi! Good prices, PERFECT atmosphere. They play soft nature sounds and light music and don’t allow phone conversations inside. We did see one patron rudely break the no loud phone calls rule, but she was asked to leave by other guests. Overall the food was really good and prices were also really good. The menu has so many options. We will be coming back!

The sushi is boring and so basic. They also take forever to bring the food. I love Japanese food but have to travel to Sunnyside to get my fix.
Also, when I was here once I saw the employees kick out an older disabled lady with a service animal. They told her “no pets! no pets! as she tried to explain it was a service animal, they kept talking over her “no pets!” and showed her the door. The dog was obviously a real service animal and perfectly trained so I thought that was despicable. I hope she reported them to the city.

This has been my go-to local sushi place ever since I was a kid, hands down best sushi in Jackson Heights. The atmosphere is so calm, the staff I’ve known for years now and they are the sweetest people, always very gentle and polite making your experience even more enjoyable. And last but not least, their sashimi and sushi rolls are always so fresh, very well prepared. They definitely know their stuff when it comes to Japanese food and I recommend this place to anyone in the area who wants to find a comforting spot to grab lunch or even dinner dates.

I used to come here a lot a few years ago but haven’t been back in a while until today. I was happy to see that they’ve expanded and their restaurant is more spacious now. Their sushi is just as good as I remember. The spicy tuna is actually spicy, as are their other spicy sushi dishes! Their salmon is perfectly fatty and savory and everything tastes fresh. The two waitresses were very friendly. I look forward to visiting them again.

Udon may seem like a simple food, but it is by no means an easy dish. However, by looking at the taste of udon, you can roughly know the taste of the food at that place. This is why the attitude of making broth is one of the basics of a food cook. It may not be easy to taste good udon in New York, but it’s a shame. The broth had a strong cabbage flavor and the shrimp topping was thick. Udon is not the signature dish, but I don’t think I’ll come back to try other dishes.
