Social Profile:

Since my wife Sanjua and I arrived in Santa Barbara, our dream was to open a restaurant. Thanks to the support of our families and friends, we were encouraged to open the first El Sitio Restaurant on Salinas Street in 1989. Thanks to you, our valued clients, we now have three more locations serving authentic Mexican food in Santa Barbara and Goleta: De La Vina Street, Fairview Avenue, and Calle Real. We invite You – our distinguished clients – to try our Tortas, Tacos, Burritos, and Specialties. Our wish is that after tasting our food, you come back to El Sitio! Pepe & Sanjua

Best place in Santa Barbra for Taco’s.
Hands down.

Traditional as it gets.

Parking can be a little tight sometimes.
But you’ll always find a spot.
Trailers are alittle trickier.

Great place, super inconsistent but good food. I wish they more consistently had menu items and portion control. Burritos can be Huge or tiny depending on who makes them. I don’t care if it’s one or the other just want consistency and balance. GREAT food tho

Completely gone down hill!!! cooks are trash!! Meat is either raw or it’s just too much fat! Old and burnt rice!!! I live up the hill and have eaten there for years but now just pure disappointment!! Needs a new restaurant in place

The best authentic healthy and affordable Mexican food in Santa Barbara. The first store opened in 1990 on Salinas St and now they have another 3 around town. The salsa bar is unbelievable with mild green, hot red, and pico de gallo.

I’m currently visiting Ventura county. I grew up in Los Angeles and now I currently live in Orange county and I frequent Mexican style restaurants all the time. This particular review is in regards to the chile relleno burrito. I ordered mine with carne asada mind you they charge extra for meat. I stopped in because the reviews were over four stars and people were raving about the humongous burritos. At $15 I was expecting a premium burrito but honestly what I got it was an average $10 burrito that you can typically find in L.A. everywhere. The burrito is long, but it’s not thick. Having ordered extra meat I expected to be that way. Both the chile relleno used and the meat were skimped on. Most of the burrito was stuffed with rice. The quality of the asada meat was average to low quality. I asked for it well done and it wasn’t. There was a bony shard in the meat that hurt my gums. I originally intended to get a breakfast burrito but she said we stop serving breakfast at 11 a.m. mind you it was 10:58 when I walked in. No fountain drinks available and nothing but Mandarin jarritos, prefilled Jamaica or orchard cups. Location poorly stocked. My final verdict is that even without the extra me to burrito is not worth the $10 definitely not worth the $15 worth of meat. If you’re expecting a premium burrito go elsewhere you can do better. If you’re definitely hungry and you have to stop by great do it at your own risk. Total review I would say a little bit below average.
