We stopped and have some happy hour food and couple drinks, we sat down in a booth. We were greeted by a server. Typically they will tell you what the sauces are when they give you the complementary chips, but they didn’t do that.
We both got the combos which you get to choose three choices for one price of $17. The server asked us if we wanted cheese on our rice and beans, but she neglected to say that that was an extra dollar each. The rice was somewhat cold and the cheese was just draped on the top. We were going to get the burrito, but we realized it was over $13 it was overpriced with extras as much as $8. Just cut stomach a burrito for somewhere around $25?
Overall, we give this a 3 out of 5 some people say this is a really good place and we think it could be, but we feel it’s just an average place to get some food. We have been to other Mexican restaurants where we feel the food is a little bit better.
The dining area was closed when we got there, we had to sit in the bar area.

Me and my husband are from out of town and Google searched a Mexican restaurant near Great Lakes Crossing. We pulled into the parking lot on a Tuesday night at 9:40 pm and to our surprise, the parking lot had only one car. We entered the building and was amazed at how large the restaurant was. The hostess greatly us quickly and got us seated on the bar side. We were brought chips, salsa, and our drink order was taken. Shortly after, our server Benjamin approached us and the vibes were perfect. He was warm and inviting and took really good care of us. My husband ordered the Pozole and we enjoyed the barbacoa Botana Nacho to start. Serving sizes were huge! The soup did NOT disappoint. Tasted like someone’s mother was back in the kitchen. The Nachos came out perfect as well. Presentation was beautiful and the cheese pull was real! Meat was juicy and so tender. I can’t forget about the chips. They were seasoned! Not too much and just the right amount of salt. My husband ordered Quesabirria tacos and I ordered a chicken tostada. Both were very, very good. Overall our experience here was great and we would recommend to anyone local or passing through. We also caught wind that this restaurant is under new ownership recently and is now open till 11 pm every night! Thanks for a wonderful dinner. We will be back on our next trip to Great Lakes Crossing.

First time here — we were greeted and seated right away. Clean, welcoming place with lots of great options. Our waiter was very pleasant and attentive. My wife had the chicken fajita quesadilla, and I had the beef Burrito Lindo — both were delicious and came out fast. We’ll definitely be back!

It’s been a few months since I’ve eaten at Mexico Lindo. Today I placed a carry out order. I was unaware if there has been any significant changes in management or ownership. But I strongly dislike the fact that the order i usually get has changed so dramatically. Additionally the salsa i loved and grew up enjoying has changed. I think this new salsa is awful, the old recipe was literally the sole purpose I would be a customer. The old salsa went on everything id eat for the most part. BRING BACK THE SALSA!!Additionally the fajitas my fiance usually gets weren’t to their usual standard. The onions were practically raw and some were. Like I shouldn’t have to get home and throw it on the stove to finish cooking the food. Honestly the biggest disappointment and let down. Been eating at the Lindo since I was like 6 years old.

I was actually so disappointed with my experience. My family has enjoyed Mexico lindo for maybe 15-20 years. We’ve had birthday parties, funeral lunch ins and family dinners. It’s always been a huge part of our family and if I could leave zero stars I would. The salsa was absolutely disgusting. Walked in every single table was dirty and not wiped down. The beans were cold and crusty. The price increase was quite disappointing especially with their whole menu changing practically. I honestly think it would just be better for it to close all together than ruin the history and legacy of Mexico lindo. Absolutely no people on a Friday night which was nuts when I used to wait 30 minutes for a table in the past. Couldn’t even substitute chicken or beef for beans which was disappointing for people who are vegetarians.

This place used to be something… oh what a shame, I have discovered that this once booming establishment had just recently sold out, I used to eat here, it was a high quality joint with great food and amazing service. But now they are horrible, quite literally the worst Mexican restaurant in Oakland county, I am overly disappointed and believe that they should go out of business for a separate restaurant owned by somebody else. First off, we did not get our drinks until 20+ minutes later, secondly the food was very low quality in comparison to what it used to be. Third, they used to have free refills on tortilla chips and now they up charge refills. Lastly, everybody in the restaurant had their food but we were waiting for over an hour for ours. CLOSE THIS RESTAURANT IMMEDIATELY.

Hubby and I went to Mexico Lindo over the weekend. Honestly, you don’t go to Mexico Lindo for mexican food, you go for Mexico Lindo. The familiar flavors, the runny mild salsa you get with the never ending basket of chips. I mean, the chunky mild salsa is good, but the original has my heart. You go to Lindo to order the Tacos Jojoque, drink a margarita and enjoy your time. We got seated, got our chips and salsa pretty quickly, but the salsa had changed. It was good – it just wasn’t Mexico Lindo’s salsa. The menu is VERY paired down. None of the favorites you are used to, but the waitress said they could try to make them, but the sauces had changed, so they really wouldn’t taste the same. I ordered queso birria tacos with rice and beans and hubby got a burrito with ground beef and requested both sauces available. The birria was tender but did not have much flavor. Hubby said his burrito was ‘good’ but not what he expects from Mexico Lindo. Paid $51 for these meals plus 2 pops. Way too expensive. They should just rename the restaurant – because it is not Mexico Lindo.
