Bij Olijfje wordt de gast nog in de watten gelegd. The food is so delicious, wide variety of options. I tried some of the special options in the menu and loved it. The staff are so lovely and make the experience really good.
Food is kind of expensive, but we also got a lot of items as a gift from the staff. Highly recommended. Even with a big group of people.

Great place with tasty food and a wide range of choices. We tried several special dishes from the menu and really enjoyed them.
We had to wait a bit for our reservation, but the staff were very kind, apologized many times, and even gave us gifts and a discount, which was a nice touch.
The prices are a little high, but the quality, atmosphere, and friendly service make it worth it. A great spot for food and fun, even if you’re with a large group as they have a very big table as well. Highly recommended.

I reserved a table for two a week in advance and clearly requested a corner table. On arrival, we were offered seats at a large shared table for eight, basically dining alongside three other couples. That was disappointing since my request had been specified clearly.
The food tasted very good, flavors were great. But the portions were extremely small for €34 per person. We received two very small sea bass, a tiny portion of rice (barely 4–5 bites), and a minimal salad (around 4–5 small pieces). For that price, the quantity, especially protein and sides — felt too little.
Service was just okay. The staff didn’t seem very attentive, and my plate and unused tissue were taken away without even asking if I was finished, which felt rude.
It’s a nice place with good flavors, but for the price and overall service experience, I’m not sure I would return.

Great and really tasty food, really friendly service. They have a wide range of gluten free options and some plates that were not gluten free they served the meat separately to me so it would not have gluten cross contamination. I really recommend this place! Our favorite were the stuffed peppers/paprikas

Restaurant Olijfje was rated as one of the best-reviewed spots near my hostel, so I decided to give it a try for dinner. I was largely impressed — especially with how quickly my starter arrived. That said, and maybe I’m nitpicking here, I was a little surprised that my main course was served before I’d finished my starter. Normally, that doesn’t happen, and since the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy at the time, it felt a bit unnecessary to rush things. Still, that’s a small detail. Overall, I’d definitely recommend giving this place a try if you’re in the area — and for anyone wondering, the food is halal, which was a big plus for me.

Wow! The food here was wonderful, plenty of gluten free options and the gluten free bread was delicious. The staff were brilliant, attentive and helpful. I would highly recommend having a visit. Fast service, no waiting and it’s a really nice place to sit. I would definitely come back when we visit Amsterdam again.
