TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Stopped by Dave’s Hot Chicken and ordered the saucy bites with fries in the buffalo flavor. The chicken had good flavor and the sauce was enjoyable without being overwhelming. The fries were soft but well seasoned and paired well with the meal.
Wait time was quick at around five minutes. We asked for dine-in but received the order in to-go packaging instead, which wasn’t a major issue but slightly unexpected. Staff interaction was neutral and ordering was straightforward.
One thing that really stood out was the design and atmosphere inside. The colorful artwork, murals, and overall layout give the restaurant a fun and energetic vibe that makes the experience more enjoyable. We did have to wipe down our table before sitting, but overall the environment felt lively and welcoming.
Food came out hot and service moved efficiently, making it a solid stop for flavorful hot chicken.

Great food at a great price! I got the medium spice level slider and was very impressed with the flavor. I also ordered one reaper tender and whew— that was something serious! I was fortunate enough to have ordered ranch with my meal to cool down some of that spice. I could still feel it in my throat 3 hours after I was done eating! Would not recommend for folks who don’t tolerate spice well. You really can’t go wrong with the rest of the spice levels though. Highly recommend for all of my hot chicken lovers!

Was a bit of a wait but i can say thats probably cause they were so busy, aside from that food was good, came out hot, employees were friendly and helpful, bright colors in the dining room, lots of color, dining room was clean as well as the tables, dont really have any complaints, just be prepared if they are busy to wait a little longer. Recommend to give it a try !!

The food is amazing and we will definitely come back. The sizes of the chicken are absolutely insane, so large and each piece is crispy. The fries are perfectly cooked and seasoned, the outside crispy and the inside fluffy and warm. The Hot spice level did not disappoint but there was a bit too much of a drastic leap from medium to hot. The sliders were good and were different but delicious in every bite. The pickles are so good and the workers are super sweet. Inside the place they had very clean floors and fun vibes. Will recommend.

My husband and I tried Dave’s Hot Chicken today for dinner and this place did not disappoint! It was our very first visit, and we will definitely be coming back.
We were welcomed as soon as we walked through the door, and the staff was extremely helpful throughout our entire order. The chicken tenders and chicken bites were absolutely delicious—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. And the fries? Come on now… AMAZING! As you can see, only one fry was left before I thought to take a picture . I added broccoli because I’m trying to be good!
Everything from the service to the food was top-notch. We were very impressed, and I just had to give a great review. We’ll be back for sure!

I got the two piece chicken tenders combo. The chicken tenders were huge along with a good portion of fries. They also give you two pieces of loaf bread, pickles. I do wish the bread was toasted.
The season is a dry rub, so make sure you ask for a knife and fork to keep your hands clean lol.
The service was good and the associates were very friendly. This was my 1st time and I would come back.

As someone who loves really spicy food, I can say that Dave’s doesn’t disappoint. I’ve had the both the hot and reaper sliders in the past from take-out. But today was my first time walking into Dave’s, and I was surprised at the cleanliness of the dining room. As someone who values appearance of food as much as taste, I was disappointed at how the dining looked compared to the beautiful artsy exterior of the building. On the inside there was trash (straw paper, napkins, etc) littering the floor, a leaking ice machine. In my head, I was like “bruh, seriously?” My recommendation? If an unkempt dining room doesn’t bother you, then fine. But if it does, go to the drive-thru.

I have been anticipating this visit and I wasn’t let down. The cashier was a helpful and attentive, the overall atmosphere was fun and the art on the exterior and interior was neat! I ordered the cauliflower bites and Mac and cheese, while the macaroni wasn’t anything to write home about (6/10) the cauliflower was crispy but fluffy at the same time 10/10! My husband got the combo 2 which was 2 chicken sliders and fries, the sandwich’s came with kale slaw which normally my husband hates but he said it gave it a nice cool tone to the spicy chicken. The chicken was AMAZING! The Oreo shake was right up there with any ice cream parlors shake. Bathrooms were clean and I will definitely be back!

Place was good. Food was good, service was good. Recommendations by Michael were good. Be aware its alot of food! If you need less food order a #5, not on menu. The fries were awesome! The chicken good. I’d love an option for plain chicken as well. But really, everything was good. Staff was very attentive and checked on us a couple times. If I had to be picky, it was too cold inside and cashier needed to speak up over loud music and vents. Another positive was the awesome wipes. Big, thick wipes were available to wipe your hands and the table. A big plus for us, even though it’s a small thing. Another customer had said the same thing before leaving. Great experience!

Chicken is moist and cooked to perfection although I don’t order it hot (lite mild for me). Flavor is outstanding. If there’s one downside to DHC, it is they don’t serve fresh brewed iced tea. Luckily for me, CFA is right across the street and their tea is amazing. Ditch the fountain tea DHC!!!
