Really bad. I’ve had the pulled pork, which was ok, and today I got what was supposed to be brisket sandwich and half rack of ribs. There’s no meat in the brisket. It’s literally just fat trimmings. Just a slimy and fatty, and they wanted $17 for that. See photo. The ribs weren’t much better; a very tiny portion for a not so tiny price tag.
1 sausage
1 “brisket” sandwich
1 half rack
For $50. That’s on the high side. If the food is good, then that’s fine, but for this?

Meat was lacking the moisture and care I expect for a rating this high. Sauce is very tasty. Service was ok and the portions are fair. Lots of seating and relatively spacious seating arrangement. The sides were mundane, not terrible, but also uninspiring.

Went to Blue Ember earlier this evening with my boyfriend, and the BBQ was great! The first thing we noticed coming up to the restaurant was the smell. Their smokers were right outside the front doors, and so both the sight and smell was enough to bring us in! When I first entered, I was a little confused, as I didn’t know where to order at first, and I was also not expecting the cafeteria-like line set up, but my boyfriend had been there before so he was able to direct me to the correct place. I ordered the Special Ops, which gave me one rib, a 1/3 lbs brisket, 1/3 lbs of jalapeno sausage a 1/3 lbs of pulled pork, and baked beans which I substituted for fried okra. My boyfriend got a pulled pork sandwich with a corn on the cob and potato salad on the side. We both chose to put dry rub on our meats, and then we got three different sauces on the side: Original, Apple BBQ, and Hot n’ Spicy. For drinks, you get cups you get to take home! When we sat down and finally got to try the food, I was blown away! The first thing I tried was the rib- when I picked it up, the meat was already falling off the bone with how tender it was. The brisket was phenomenal, almost tasting like soft jerky. The pulled pork paired with Original sauce was my go to, and I finished that first. I think my favorite had to be the sausage though. And you can never go wrong with fried okra! My boyfriend loved his order, especially the potato salad. He liked that they kept the potato skin on the potatoes. While the layout was a little confusing, the food was great!

i’ve had bad experiences with steakhouses and their food, and i was recommended here by multiple friends to go here, so i gave it a shot and came with my girlfriend. i have allergies to certain things i wont disclose, but i was transparent with them, and yet they didnt listen and i got an allergic reaction infront of my girl. this is rediculous. -10/10, never recommending, at this rate im going to turn into as hardcore of a vegan as the vegan teacher

Tonight was our first time to try Blue Ember Steakhouse and all three of us agree it deserves 5 stars… actually would be more stars if we could! Every person who worked there was pleasant and polite. The building was very clean. The food was delicious. Especially love that you can have a sampler of many kinds of meats on one meal. Highly recommend.

Went to blue ember today to order a family amount of brisket today. I ran into an employee, who happens to be a local BBQ sauce manufacturer. His family BBQ sauce is amazing btw. I spent almost 70 dollars. While in the middle of speaking to our family friend the manager came out and reprimanded this employee in front of me and everyone in the store and she sent him home during lunch rush. In my order, one of the sides was baked beans. That very same manager brought a fresh batch of baked beans to the line. She scooped up the left over amount of beans and served it to me before refilling the line. This was the worst service I’ve ever experienced. Such terrible management style along. How professional is it to reprimand employees in front of customers? That manager needs some serious leadership training or needs to find another job. Great job blue ember. Definitely not going to be spending money with you again.

Cool atmosphere. Customer service was excellent. BBQ was spot on. You buy your meats by the 1/3 lb, so it can get pricey quick.
Meat sweats did commence shortly after!

We have eaten here many times. The options are many so I typically go with the Special Ops platter to get the variety. The meats have a great smokey flavor and tenderness that you want in BBQ. A variety of great flavors and heat with their sauces. The issue for me is so many great sides to choose from, but you can’t go wrong with the Baked Beans or Mac-n-Cheese.

Attentive staff, but this is not quality barbecue. This is fast food. It’s just missing the flavor that you may be expecting when you arrive. If you are in Jonesboro, AR, Que 49 is a much better option.

Visited this new barbecue restaurant in town for dinner and placed an order to go. We have tried most of the meats and sides on the menu but not all of them. All of the food was very good and they prep the meat by slicing or chopping right in front of you and they package all of the sides right in front of you as well. Try the Special Ops for a taste of nearly every type of meat. I also like the fact they ask you if you want lean or moist brisket.
My only issues so far is that most barbecue places have plates and/or platters that you can purchase but everything here is purchased separately except with the Special Ops where you get a side. It can be a bit pricey because of this, as noted by some other reviews.
Overall, a good barbecue spot and I would go back for more.
