The wait staff was pleasant and welcoming. (l have found this to be consistent at all Cracker Barrels I’ve visited so far.)
A great experience!
Laucetta did an excellent job as our server today and was definitely a bright spot in the day. She could tell we were getting antsy about getting our food and she kept checking to see if it was done. It took 30 minutes from the time we ordered to get our food – crazy! As it turns out, someone gave my meal to another customer so mine had to be recooked.
Once we got the food, it was delicious and freshly prepared so kudos for making it right.
Mon thru Fri 2 pieces chicken 3 sides same price??
Order pork chops “Tues spec”
Came with 1 tsp gravey on each asphalt breaded chops tk goodness I ordered side dumplings (excellent) and unitized the dumpling gravy made for excellent meal…waitress very poor didn’t offer bread choices brought salad with crackers no butter, requested biscuits, butter, honey they arrived with the chops which were on a plate no garnish and 1 tsp gravey on each… presentation look almost uneditable….later order morv biscuits when they arrived the plate was placed on top of the biscuit I was eating??
Honey came in a packet very hard to open and when using extremely messy….if the salad and dumplings hadn’t been so good I would have no paid…ps who ever designed the new menu needs to be dismissed
Not sure what happened to the cobbler, the chocolate pie and other items on the menu. There is nolonger a three vegetable plate choice.
Hang on to your hat folks. The mashed taters looked dull, gray and pasty and tasted like yesterday’s baked potato!
It’s really sad to see such a great old place to go to these standards. This is a a travel restaurant that everybody used to frequent knowing they would ha a great selection of southern plates!
The changes they’ve made to attract younger travelers has severely taken away from the quality, the atmosphere and the menu!
The manager did give me a replacement for the potatoes but that’s really sad because that’s one thing I always enjoyed, Cracker Barrel delicious, homemade, fluffy mashed potatoes! No gravy required.
My server was wonderful. I have nothing thing bad to say in that regard. One thing that has been consistent is the service has always been good.
Too bad I can’t say the same for the food. It used to be a consistent place to eat a Homemade Southern meal, now not so much.
By the way young people like good food, good Tea and PIE or Cobbler for desert too.
Time to find a new travel restaurant.
