“I had an amazing experience here! The staff were incredibly friendly and full of positive energy, which really added to the upbeat and welcoming atmosphere. The vibe of the place was fantastic relaxed yet lively. The menu offered a great variety of options, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. From start to finish, everything exceeded!! Highly recommend!

Really lovely dinner at Troef. It was recommended to us and didn’t disappoint. Interesting dishes and flavours.
Only criticism is that the dessert menu was a bit of a let down. Considering how well the main menu was put together, a dessert choice of mostly ice creams is really basic. It wasn’t what I would expect in a place like Troef. I had the Dame Blanche (I think I remember that right), which was just vanilla ice cream, cream and chocolate sauce.
However I would come back. Lovely atmosphere and staff were super nice.

A wonderful local French style bistro where simplicity is the key to the success! A simple menu with four starters and main courses along with a fabulous wine list and first rate service ensures a great experience! The chef’s delivery of the food successfully focuses on the natural ingredients and flavours. The dining room delivers a cosy atmosphere with excellent lighting and candles. Sit inside and enjoy the sights of Amsterdam or be part of the atmosphere inside….whatever you do, make a booking well in advance and enjoy the evening! Cheers

Wonderful good with local flavour. Selects options but amazing taste. Enjoyed the food . Great selection of wine as well . Service was good but I did low star as we have been asked several time to order quick due to another reservation ( in spite of booking table ) , which actually was annoying for a group of 6 like us . Also we were declined to served dessert, which was really upsetting. Anyways it’s my experience.

Bit noisy indoors, table seating was not nice, they try to squeeze more tables as much as possible I guess.

Troef never disappoints!! Amazing food, extensive wine list and great service. Our favorite dish is the smoked eel from Giethoorn.

When I first looked at the menu I wasn’t entirely sure what to choose. It didn’t immediately grab my attention. But as soon I’ve tried the dishes: every bite was bursting with flavor!
This is easily one of the best restaurant in Amsterdam when it comes to food. The team is doing an amazing job and I wish them growth and a lot of success.

This place was delicious! Can’t recommend it enough and staff was so friendly. We got the Langoustine in Smoked Butter and Mussel first- drastically different but so unique and tasty. For our main meal we got the Vol-Au-Vent and a side of fries + salad. We got dessert as well, the pistachio ice cream is amazing! Savory and sweet. Definitely add this to your restaurant list for Amsterdam.

That said, since it was a busy weekend and fully booked, we were given a strict 1:30 time slot at the bar table despite having a reservation. We received several reminders about the time limit, which made the meal feel a bit rushed rather than relaxed something that slightly detracted from an otherwise excellent experience.
