The food was very good. Veal liver was superb! The Chateaubriand spent just 15 seconds too much on a grill (asked for medium). The fries were so-so. Both sauces (Roquefort and shallot onions) were good.
Prices are reasonable – so very good value for your money.

From the start, our waiter showed an unfriendly attitude, but the most serious issue occurred when he physically assaulted another customer who was apparently bothering a woman.
The fight was so intense that the customer ended up bleeding from the face. Several people got involved, there was scuffling and shouting, and the scene caused panic and confusion among everyone present.
Given the severity of the situation, the only person in our group who spoke French called the police (their intervention was brief, as the assaulted customer had already left).
Then, the management’s handling was erratic: the aggressive waiter was not removed or detained, and continued serving tables as if nothing had happened.
After the altercation, we were moved to another table, but the same waiter, still visibly upset, continued attending to us. Feeling uncomfortable, I decided to leave.
My companions stayed a few minutes longer, but ultimately paid the full bill and also left when the injured customer, still visibly bleeding, returned and was served as normal.
This experience left a very negative impression regarding safety and professional crisis management. Additionally, the restaurant showed no acknowledgment or empathy toward us after the shocking scene we had to witness.
I understand that incidents can happen anywhere, but it is management’s responsibility to handle “the aftermath”. Seeing the waiter, still upset, continue serving tables as if nothing had happened was unbelievable.
Customers should not be made to feel unsafe, especially when the person serving them has just been involved in a bloody altercation. This is a complete lack of judgment.
I will never return to this restaurant.
The restaurant seems big but tables for 2 persons are spread out over the (covered) terrace. Inside is room for groups, so there’s not an awful lot of noise from these. We sat next to the window, nice view on the street.
We took a menu with as starter oysters for my wife and escargots bourguignonne (snails) for me. Copious portions! For main course my wife had fish, I took an Alsatian plate – you can’t be hungry after this. Very good!
Crème brûlé as dessert to fill up some tiny gaps… This was a very nice experience!
Love dipping the bread into the snail sauce.
One downside was the swordfish tartare, but everything else.. so good!
Highly recommended!
They have English menu.
The beef was cooked alright, loved the flavours, especially the sauce on the side. We prefer the chateaubriand over the entrecote though, the entrecote was more tender but a bit too fatty for me.
Service was great too, would love to try the desserts next time because it looks super good!
