The Juicy Crab® story starts long before the opening of the Duluth, Georgia, first corporate restaurant in 2015. The Chen family’s inspiration ultimately came from New Orleans and the world travels of Grandfather Chen. Grandfather Chen was a sailor who traveled the world learning many different styles and ways of cooking seafood. One of the main influences that every family member loved was the New Orleans style of cooking seafood. Today, Juicy Crab Franchise has over 40 restaurants throughout the United States and is a market leader in the seafood restaurant service market.

Amazing Service Thanks to Coonie!
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant, and a huge part of that was thanks to our server, Coonie. From the moment we were seated, Coonie was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They checked in at just the right times, made great menu suggestions, and handled everything with a positive attitude and professionalism.
The food was delicious, but the outstanding service really made the meal memorable. Coonie clearly cares about the guests and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels comfortable and taken care of. I would definitely come back again and hope to be served by Coonie next time!

The food overall was very average. The oysters were farm-raised, and it shows. To explain: there are oysters with a pronounced salty ocean flavor, and there are oysters that are almost flavorless. These were clearly the latter. The difference in taste is very noticeable. However, given the low price, this was expected, so I have no complaints regarding that.
The fish had a soft texture and had the potential to be very tasty, but unfortunately it was extremely oversalted, making it impossible to eat.
The seating is very hard and not comfortable for sitting for a long period of time.
On the positive side: it is a very cute place with a pleasant atmosphere and extremely polite, attentive staff who truly took great care of us. Convenient parking is also a big plus.

My birthday meal was raw , with zero flavor..I ordered the one with the lobster tail boil, it was over cooked..My whole potato wasn’t done all the way. I Showed my waitress , how my food was raw…She asked to see the whole potato, and squished the potato in the napkin, and was trying to hand it back…Absolutely not…..I taken my bag to go and baked the sausages in the oven…Saturday around 1:30 ish…..

Great atmosphere, and the food was hot, plentiful, and very good. Our Server Lonell was spot on when explaining the menu and the different choices of seasoning. That was awesome, because I can’t have real spicey. He also gave outstanding service throughout our dinning experience! Definitely a plus for our evening!

The Juicy Crab is a solid spot for seafood boils. The shrimp and crab legs are flavorful, well-seasoned, and come in generous portions. The Cajun butter sauce is bold and you can choose your spice level, which is a plus. The vibe is chill, service is usually fast, and it’s perfect for a casual or birthday meal. A little pricey with add-ons, but definitely worth it.

I’ll wait a break was very helpful on helping me pick out a really good drink. She was pleasant. The atmosphere was clean quiet and music wasn’t playing loud. The food was on point and I will be back.
