Sadly, the food didnt have much flavor. The chicken dish is ordered was bland and the chicken was pink and was unseasoned.

The enchiladas wete the same. Just missed on the seasoning. When we go to a Mexican restaurant (and Taco Bell doesnt count) you’re expecting some sort of authenticity and flavor. This time its just missed out.

We’ve been to El Tapatio before and had a better experience. We loved going when they first opened back in the day. Maybe we just caught them on a bad day, but was just expecting a little more.

This is my favorite meal I’ve ever had at a Mexican restaurant. The sauce is flavorful and not too cheesy. The chicken is tender with a perfect grilled flavor. The broccoli and cauliflower are seasoned deliciously. The ambiance inside is colorful and beautiful and not cluttered. Service is great.

Great, quiet spot. Food is always great and they have awesome margaritas. They also have cool artwork EVERYWHERE.

Very quiet during lunch hours on weekdays. Staff is always friendly.

I’m stop in Ypsilanti, MI. I’m Mexican-American so I know authentic. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much given I’m in little town Michigan, but my supreme nachos were amazing. Beautiful presentation and great flavor. It had a combination of chicken and ground beef, white queso, beans, lettuce, tomato and sour cream. Just yum! I ordered an horchata, also perfect and a side of guac and it was fresh and delicious. I got complimentary chips n salsa, so I was very pleased. I ordered from Grubhub and I think it was fast delivery too, about 25 minutes. Totally recommend it. It’s legit!!!

Favorite mexican restaurant in the area. The staff is lovely and kind, the restaurant is tidy, the food is delicious- it’s a very inviting restaurant to keep returning to. The top shelf margaritas are the best deal in town. The queso fundido is the best I’ve ever had. The kitchen always puts out something delicious. The shredded chicken on absolutely anything is some of my favorite and I’m not someone who orders chicken anywhere else. It’s just too good. That they serve la lengua and la tripa confirms they’re making authentic mexican staples and they also have an entire nacho section with six different varieties which is perfect for a college town.

This is a gem of a Mexican restaurant a bit hidden near the corner of Packard and Carpenter road (you can’t turn left into it directly when heading south on Carpenter). The menu options are great, the flavors are good (your family from Texas and Oklahoma will say it’s okay), the service is prompt and friendly, and the pricing is very reasonable with good portions. Plenty of room to dine in (we had some nostalgia as it was clearly a Pizza Hut in its former life) and your craving for this cuisine will be satisfied when you leave.

First time visit. Staff were very friendly, nice atmosphere, and good drinks. The chips and salsa was average. The food came out hot and it was just okay, although I do plan on another visit to try other dishes. I did not care for the guacamole, it was pretty bland.

We went for a birthday dinner. I had a combo with taco, enchilada, tostada and rice. Everything was very good. My husband had a burrito with rice and beans and he liked his as well. The food was served hot and very fast. Our waiter was excellent and very attentive. When I told our waiter it was my husband’s birthday, he came out with a free dessert, and a Sombrero for my husband to wear as the waitstaff sang happy birthday. The only thing I didn’t really like was the salsa that came with the chips. It was just kind of boring.

I went there to get a drink and some chips and salsa. I ordered a Texas margarita sat at the bar. They poured the margarita from a jug it was already Premade. It tasted awful and it costed me $11. The chips and salsa were good.
