Oaxaca Cuisine in Fairfield is an absolute gem. Every dish I’ve tried has been a knockout, and I’ve sampled enough of the menu to say that with confidence. From the first bite, it’s clear this place honors traditional Oaxacan flavors while keeping things fresh and vibrant.
Shrimp Tacos — Perfectly grilled, generously portioned, and layered with bright, fresh toppings. The balance of heat, citrus, and crunch is spot-on.
Grilled Chicken Sandwich — Not your average sandwich. The chicken is juicy and well-seasoned, tucked into toasted bread with crisp lettuce and just the right amount of sauce. It’s hearty and satisfying without being heavy.
Ceviche Appetizer — Fresh, tangy, and beautifully plated. The mix of citrus-marinated seafood with red onion, cilantro, and chips is refreshing and addictive. It’s the kind of dish you order “just to try” and end up finishing solo.
The staff is warm and welcoming, and the service feels personal without being overbearing. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or sitting down for a full meal, the experience is consistently excellent.
If you’re anywhere near Fairfield and haven’t tried Oaxaca Cuisine yet, you’re missing out. It’s the kind of place that makes you rethink what great Mexican food really tastes like.
Service was good, the server was friendly, attentive and courteous.
We had the huevos rancheros and added avocado my son had the carne asada quesadilla, everything was delicious! We also had fresh orange juice, something I love for breakfast.

The food here is spectacular. Try the chilaquiles but be aware breakfast stops at noon on weekends (they accommodated my order however). It’s all day during the week. I’ve not tried any of the non-traditional items (chicken sandwich, Cobb salad etc.), but it’s clear the chef here is committed to fresh ingredients and knows what they’re doing. I was so tempted to lick my plate clean but my pride wouldn’t let me lol.
They serve Tlayuda here and I can see it’s widely enjoyed by my Latino friends here at the restaurant so it must be good. I’ve yet to try it, but I will.
This is interior food prepared carefully and beautifully. Stop in.
