We tried the Crab rangoons, I forgot to take a picture….they are possibly the best I have ever eaten. The sauce served with the rangoons was delicious! Presentation was lovely for everything. The curry fried rice with pineapple was delicious. So was the Royal Pad…we will go back! Did I mention I devoured the crab rangoons?

always have heard great things about thai lotus restaurant and have lived here my whole life and never tried it until last night and it was amazing. we ordered take out but the people were extremely friendly. we had the thai and hawaiian fried rice (medium) and crab rangoons. the food was perfect and a lot of it. the absolute best crab rangoons i’ve ever had, like being at a fresh seafood place on the beach!

I’ve been here three times now and will return. I have tried something different each visit and enjoyed every meal. The staff is helpful and kind. They seem to have a lot of repeat customers, as the lady who takes the orders knows many people by name and knows their orders.
I plan to bring family and friends here as well.
I always feel good, healthy and light, after eating the food they serve. I wish I could give them more stars!

Wow! What a treat! We came to visit family and my mom picked this place. Orange chicken is my daughter’s favorite. This was the BEST we’ve ever had. Everyone loved their food. We shared some plates and enjoyed all the fantastic flavors. We were also impressed with ONE person running the entire front of the restaurant. My step dad just kept saying how great it is to see a real, family-ownrd business. Definitely a gem in this area!

I have been a fan of the restaurant all the way back when it was Sue’s Thai Kitchen. I’ve been to Thai Lotus a handful of times. Saturday night, they were quite busy. Yet their one server got to us as quick as she could. Big props to her.
But the food is, in my opinion, the best Salem has to offer. I graduated from Salem High School and lived my entire childhood in Washington County. This may be the best restaurant in Salem of my entire life.
The food is complex, offering great complexity of spices. The portions are balanced with meat and veggies. And you are rightfully full when finished. It really is a top tier restaurant. If in a bigger city, Thai Lotus would be even more notable.

We love eating here especially for lunch. They have a wonderful $7.99 deal. It comes with an entree, rice, salad, spring roll, soup and orange slice. And it is all delicious! Pictured is the Cashew Chicken and Yellow Curry. In the evenings it does get a bit pricey with everything being a la carte. I could knock a star off for that but it tastes so wonderful that I will not do that. Just be prepared. Or better yet go for lunch.

I’ve only been here a couple times, but I’ve never been disappointed! Most recently I went on a lunch date here with my Mom and I got the Spicy Basil Stir Fry with chicken and it was amazing! It wasn’t “spicy” as in hot, pepper, makes-you-turn-red-and-sweat spicy, but it was flavorful spicy, which is right up my alley. The atmosphere was quiet, comfortable, and elegant and our waitress was attentive. I’m glad I was able to have some food left over to take home with me so I can enjoy the rest of it for lunch later!

stopped here while passing through and the food was really good! The orange chicken was fresh and flavorful, and the rice was perfectly cooked. The place is clean, the people are friendly, and the portions are solid. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area, I’d come back again for sure.
