I officially give up. I am so angry. They are too far away or I would take this back for a refund. They should be embarrassed but obviously they do not care. I basically received bread sandwiches…where exactly is the beef and this is NO accident. Luckily I also purchased a chili dog, so I will scrape the little meat from my sandwich and put it on my son’s so he at least isn’t just eating wet bread. The amount of meat between the regular and big beef combined is less than than what’s on a regular beef alone. I specifically stopped after work only to open up complete and utter garbage. I want my money back as I Did Not get what I paid for.
Also, I added the final pictures which yielded one regular beef barely and nothing on the “big beef”. My son was like “wow”, not in a good way.
On top of all that, I just realized they Did Not include the hot peppers that I paid extra for. Amazing how the odds of my order are in their favor financially. Overcharge for everything, while under delivering. Heating up my chili dog now because I’m starving but I have low expectations that it will be any better.
Well ok. So happy my expectations were set so low as I was completely right. I ordered a jumbo chili cheese dog, with no onions. The person taking the order repeated it and so did the young lady handing me my order. So low in behold, I have a ton of onions, which I hate period let alone raw onions. When I looked at my receipt it said chili cheese dog underneath, “onions”, which makes no sense as it comes with onions, so if anything it would say extra onions if someone wanted it that way.
So now I have to find something, though at this point my appetite is ruined. What should have been a relaxing, pleasant evening, has now turned into a job I hadn’t planned on and it cost me instead of paying.
At this point after reading so many similar comments it’s obvious that this is a trend that no one intends to turn around, so just shut the doors already.

I stopped by to pick up a whole chocolate cake for my birthday 01/01!!! Big disappointment! The cake tasted refrigerator stale but the chocolate icing was on point. Not the best experience but I will be back!!! It might be time to lay off the chocolate cake!

This was my first time at this location because we were passing by. My beef had very little meat as well as not fully dipped – and I ordered triple dipped.
The shakes were shameful. The cup was so light it felt empty. And when I looked inside it was basically foam. We went through drive through so all this wasn’t discovered until we were home.

you come here to eat and you can’t enjoy your meal and come here feeling comfortable because you have KIDS not adults, KIDS working outside in weather below 20 degrees. mind you, these kids working outside are wearing clothes bigger then they are to keep themselves from getting frost brite. this is sick and makes you extremely uncomfortable. as a big food corporation of Chicago, why are we letting these kids work outside in this weather.
Our experience as a family was horrible having to eat while watching these kids working outside come in and out to keep themselves warm and the people working inside have the nerve to ask what they’re doing inside while trying to stock on stickers for car numbers. this is crazy and inhumane.

Update dec 17th I called the restaurant after realizing they messed up my food. I think the young lady’s name is Monique. I’m uncertain, but she promised me a refund. Iam still waiting for that said refund She said it takes 5 to 7 business days so it should be in my account by tomorrow
She tried offering me one meal coupon code, but she wouldn’t tell me whether or not that the value of the coupon code she was offering me was going to be the same value of food that was missing, which is then why she offered the refund if I don’t receive my refund, I’m calling my bank and disputing the charge altogether

Smaller Portillo’s, but nice and clean. The staff is very nice. The order however was a bit mixed up, which I get things happen. Had the spicy chicken sandwich with bacon, it’s my always go to, and onion rings. My favorite there is strawberry shake!! I always get the shake!

It saddens me to write this review. I have been coming to this Portillo’s for 30 years. I brought my wife here all while we we’re dating. Today I had a problem with a customer in the line. A sign was posted instructing us to form 2 lines. I asked if she(the customer)was in line she clearly was waiting for someone,she said yes so I got in the other line. Once her boyfriend came in she left her line and got in front of me and started screaming that I went in front of her. The manager came over and immediately served the young lady and her boyfriend. Afterwards she walked away from the register without so much a word to me. I sincerely wish i could post a picture of the distain on her face as she walked away without taking my order. The customer was white and of course so was the manager. I would have just left but i wanted to have my receipt to submit a survey. Portillo’s I would like to apologize for being born black. I can’t speak for us all, but I personally would like just an inkling of pretend respect when spending my hard earned funds at your establishment. Which won’t be happening ever again.

Chocolate cake has like 80 ingredients listed, tastes like those Carlo’s cakes they sell at airports machines.
The cake used to be refrigerated cause it was fresh, now the cake is just sitting on a shelf cause it is pumped with a bunch of chemicals.
Label doesn’t even have an expiration date so if you have a nuclear bunker might as well stock it with Portillo’s chocolate cake cause it will last forever.
If you go to Portillos just order a hotdog and a drink, skip the dessert.

Food comes out in a timely manner and food is good, BUT there is always something thats missing. Whether its cheese for my cheese fries or hot peppers. This tends to happen half the time I visit. Got a cheeseburger meal tonight and had literally 12 french fries with it. Might have to bite the bullet on this location and go somewhere else now.
