The restaurant has a casual, lively atmosphere that accommodates both family gatherings and group outings. Service has generally been efficient, especially considering how popular the location can be.
While the Crab Bomb is consistently strong, some of the other menu items can vary in comparison. That said, when it comes to their signature dish, they execute it very well.
Overall, Jerry’s remains a dependable destination for quality crab dishes and a Maryland classic experience.
Love, Light, Peace, Community, Blessings, Great Eats, Blessings
Jerry’s doesn’t just serve seafood; they serve memories. The shrimp and crab balls are hands-down one of the most indulgent, satisfying seafood dishes you can find anywhere. They’re massive, generously packed with lump crab meat and shrimp, and perfectly seasoned so the flavor of the seafood shines without being overpowered. No filler, no nonsense—just pure, buttery, Maryland-style goodness.
The texture is everything: crisp and golden on the outside, moist and rich on the inside. Every bite reminds you why this place has such a loyal following. The sauce that comes with it ties everything together beautifully, but honestly, the crab balls stand on their own. You can taste the consistency, the care, and the legacy in every bite.
What makes it even better is the experience. Jerry’s has that old-school, no-frills charm where the focus is on quality and portions, not trends. The service is always warm and efficient, and they understand that when you order the shrimp and crab balls, you’re there for something special.
For my husband, it’s nostalgia, comfort, and celebration all wrapped into one plate. For me, it’s watching someone I love light up over a dish that never disappoints. Jerry’s Seafood is more than a restaurant—it’s a must-stop destination, and those shrimp and crab balls are the reason we keep coming back every single time we’re in town.
The rolls they serve to start the meal are kinda unique, and fun to pull apart. The kids also enjoyed the butter balls.
We tried the crab bomb firecracker style, the crab cake sandwich, kids fried shrimp with fries and apple sauce and the house salad with feta vinegar and house dressings.
The crab bomb is their claim to fame- and it was basically a large crab cake, seasoned with pepper and dry mustard. It was very good, but could have used some extra garnishes, maybe pickled onions or something similar to enhance the experience and a side of butter and/ or lemon.
The crab cake sandwich was a little plain, again, lacking lettuce tomato and mayo, something you would expect on a crab cake sandwich.
The kids fried shrimp was large and lightly fried, delicious! The fries that went with the meal were wedge style fries and a tasty addition.
The salads were romaine style, pretty typical house salad- but the dressings were a real standout. Highly recommend the feta vinegar and house dressings.
The restaurant itself is very cool, large televisions, cool artwork, a nice bar area, and enough room to accommodate any size party. But I did rank it a four star because it was so cold! We had to run out and get our hoodies.
All in all, I would definitely come back and try some more menu items- especially the crab soup and crab dip.
The calamari was average. Marinara sauce was too sweet. My .om enjoyed the crab cake but felt there was additional fish in it. I didn’t see it.
I ordered the platter. Crab cake was delicious! Haddock was dry and inedible. Their rolls and baked potatoes were on point.
It was an experience but not one worth repeating. I did see you can order and have Crab bomb/cake shipped!
The last time we visited, about a week ago, our server was wonderful (I hate that I forgot his name). The service, food, and overall experience were excellent. We walked right in on a Saturday and got a table for two with no wait. Everything was served quickly and was perfectly prepared.
I can’t say enough good things about this place—highly recommend it!
