Right off of I-35, convenient. Some of the best food I’ve had in years, just happened to hit this place in my way home from Wichita and is now one of my regular stops at least once a week. I’ve had the steak and shrimp, also had the shrimp cocktail. Their homemade beans are to die for

I ordered the chicken fajita. They were three different kinds of salsa. hot an mild, queso all 3 was good. An I found out there made from scratch everyday. I felt the plate of chicken should had more on it. But after eating all of it, it was filling. Looks can be deceiving. Food was good. No complaints here. The waitresses kept on top of our needs. Kept our glass full of drink.

Best Mexican restaurant around. The salsa and cheese sauce is get to est before you meal shows up. Which doesn’t take long to arrive. Food is delicious. The workers are all friendly and make sure you are enjoying your time.

We had the beef fajitas, bistec and sopes. The sopes were not authentic or even close to being sopes. The rice was dry. The restaurant has an unpleasant smell. It doesn’t smell like delicious Mexican food, it smells like a wet mop in there. I really couldn’t get over the smell. That was the first sign. Should have left after walking in to that smell. The staff was attentive and nice though. I personally wouldn’t go back to this place.

The margarita tasted like Mountain Dew when asked to switch to a beer the waitress laughed and said you cannot trade only get one also. Then our table was approached by a man accusing my brother in law of touching her butt. So they didn’t want to admit the margarita they serve was not worth the price, then accused him in front of his wife who saw everything. That is disgraceful behavior! I forgot to add that the restroom was disgusting and that’s according to a 12 year old boy!

I give La Macarena a 5 star rating for the outstanding food and service. Authentic Mexican food that is right off the freeway. The pico de gallo and my guacamole was freshly made. The flavors come through each dish. I am glad we found this outstanding family restaurant. I hope to pass through again someday in the future!
