Not from here and visiting the city just cause.

We were staying around the corner and wanted breakfast but didn’t want it from our hotel. Took a stroll up and down to see what we might like. Wherever we went there was a 30-60min wait time, everything was busy and loud. Decided to try one more time and found this spot. Google maps kept leading me to a different side of the building. This is the hotel’s breakfast restaurant inside of Royal Sonasta. Upon going in, it was dead inside. No patrons. Odd considering everywhere we went was full. We were greeted and sat down. It was actually better it was empty. It was nice and quiet plus we received more attention since no one was there.

The food. I ordered eggs entree and husband ordered brisket tacos. I tasted his brisket and it was delicious, fell apart, had crispy edges. It was way better than the bbq joint, that specializes in bbq, we went to the night before. My eggs were tasty and real eggs; not the eggs that are “wet.” I got the O’Brien potatoes and it was good, like a southwest version of potatoes with red bell, onion, tomato and I think mushroom. OJ was small size but it was freshly squeezed and really good. Husband liked his breakfast tacos.

Overall experience was great. Our waiter was wonderful, and gave us some more info about what to do in the area.

I was quickly greeted and seated by a cheerful host and was allowed to choose where I wanted to sit, which was nice.

I was torn between biscuits and gravy or the brisket and eggs Benedict. I went with the latter based on the waiter’s recommendation and it was amazing. Very tasty.

The coffee and orange juice did not disappoint and my coffee remained topped off.

The atmosphere was chill and clean.

Great spot to grab a delicious breakfast where the prices will not break the bank.

After a long weekend at SXSW it was nice to wakeup, go downstairs, and have a nice relaxing breakfast at Café Fuller. I have been to the Stephen F Austin Royal Sonesta Hotel for conferences over the years but never had a chance to dine here. It was very quiet and private.

The breakfast menu had a nice selection of choices of entrées and cocktails. I ordered the Build Your Own Omelet with bacon and mushrooms, golden hash browns, wheat toast, and Lavazza coffee. The whole meal tasted very farm fresh and the omelet had great flavor. The hash browns for always have trouble making at home was very delicious. Real butter was priced for my toast.

Overall it was excellent, extremely classy and a well professional staff.

This is the breakfast restaurant for the Stephen F. Austin Royal Sonesta. It seems to be mostly for hotel guests but I don’t see any reason why other guests couldn’t dine here. The restaurant is located just to the left of the hotel check-in desk and does not have a sign.

Overall, the breakfast was excellent. The omelet was perfect and even a little creamy. The crispy hash browns were perfect. Even the toast and butter was good.

Service was a little disorganized. They don’t greet you when you arrive and expect you to know to grab your own menu before you sit down. It’s a shame because the food is good.
