#quaint A very nice little place to catch a bite and feel the memories of good simple food like grandma made. You’ll have to look twice to believe the reasonable prices. The flavor is delicious and reminiscent of breakfast on the farm. I’ll be eating here again.

Hidden gem! We stopped for breakfast. The exterior is a little off putting, but once you step inside, it’s very charming. The owner was a very sweet lady who waited on us herself. We talked with her a bit about the decor because I could tell someone had spent a lot of time and money renovating the hotel into a restaurant and bar. She explained that most of what was on the shelves (antiques) were from her home. The food was completely made fresh from scratch and delicious. I highly recommend the Bucktail Hotel.

The Bucktail Motel was a great place to stay. I had loads of fun. This vintage hotel has a restaurant, bar, and banquet room. Service was friendly and food was great. If you want to experience an adventure you will love this place. If you want modern conveniences, and prompt service you aren’t going to like it. This hotel is owned and operated by an elderly couple and their grandchildren and they operate at the casual speed of a small town hotel in the 1940’s. They were friendly, though and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Food would of been great if the help would of stayed on another hour, but they left and owner was trying to do everything herself. Love this place, have been here many times. This was first bad experience. Prices are excellant and atmosphere and decor just beautifully. I will still return.

Service was horrible!!! My son ordered a ham and cheese and got a cheeseburger! My husband ordered cheeseburger and fries with cheese on them. She brought the fries with no cheese and we told her. So she brought back a small plate with a slice cheese melted to the plate!!!!! Really!!!???? Then they NEVER even offered to take any money off our bill!! Will not be back! Food tasted ok hence the 2 stars.

Great people and atmosphere. A group of us went up there for a fishing trip and stumbled upon this place. We weren’t looking for a fancy luxuries of a 5 star hotel for an overnight trip so we found this place and took a chance. Well it was well worth it. This place took me back to my childhood trips with my parents, by having a fun family owned business who took care of their guests. Can’t want to come back and visit such a great group of people. This will be our new place to stay for our trips for a long time!!!

What a bad experience. Food was inedible and nothing like it was years ago. If you want your road trip to stick with you, take a chance. Diarrhea will last for days. How they keep there license to serve is beyond me. Will never stop or recommend to anyone. Given one star because waitress was nice and I felt empathy for her time.

Lovely. Looks like a place from the olden times! Chatted with the owner a bit. Place was built in the late 30’s, but modelled after a hotel from the 1890’s. Simple fare, but nicely done. Curious about the hotel rooms!
