This was an unreal experience! For someone who hasn’t dinned at a fine dining restaurant before, this was an exceptional experience!
We went for our anniversary and we were treated like royalty! The food was out of this world- I cannot stress how tender and high grade every steak was. It melted in your mouth. The sides come as a family style, and the appetizers were small enough that they didn’t spoil your main course.
I cannot recommend this place enough!

This was my first time dining with steak 44. We went there to celebrate my birthday. In my many years, I’ve been to a significant amount of fine dining locations. However, this experience exceeded all my expectations and beyond. They took Service to a new level in the ambience and decor was absolutely on point. While, the prices are very expensive the quality is phenomenal. They even let me pick out a birthday dessert free and provided a handwritten card which was a really nice touch. If you are celebrating a special occasion or just want to experience, amazing dining I highly recommend.

Celebrated our birthdays (Best Friends) at Steak 44! They sat us immediately and bought out personalized birthday cards! The food was amazing and the service was absolutely top notch! Our server, Amanda took great care of us. She knew the menu, and made great suggestions! I am visiting from the East Coast, and have eaten at Steak 48 in Philadelphia (which is also amazing). Steak 44’s service was just a little more welcoming and intimate. Will totally be back next time we’re in Arizona. Thanks so much, Amanda!

I really enjoyed my night with my family celebrating my graduation. The atmosphere upon walking in was welcomed, respectful and considered. Nick and his tram did a phenomenal job serving us and making us feel welcomed. The food is another thing. We tried the Japan and NY steak and they were both delicious and the mac&cheese was so good forgot to take a Pic. Overall, highly recommend. You want good food. You have to pay for good food and services. Thank you!

If I could give 10 stars I absolutely would. This place is phenomenal. Our waiter Kevin went above and beyond with outstanding service genuine care and an unforgettable dining experience. The food was incredible. From the seafood tower to the steak corn baked potato and fresh bread every single bite was amazing. I cannot wait to come back. Make sure to take a jacket because it is pretty cool inside.

It has been a while since I have been to an upscale steakhouse. My son has never been, but he chose this place to celebrate his 25th birthday. Steakhouse 44 did not disappoint! My son had made reservations. We were seated promptly at arrival. I should say we were greeted amicably right when we walked in. As the hostess walked us to our secluded table each staff member welcomed us. That was a pleasant surprise. Our waiter was amazing. He immediately made us feel welcomed. He went over the cocktail and wine lists and gave us time to decide. We were brought fresh garlic rolls. They were light and melted in your mouth. After we received our cocktails we ordered the calamari and shrimp as an appetizer. I ordered the California Citrus Martini. I loved it! I do not care for sweet drinks and was wondering if it would be on the sweeter side, but no, it had just the right amount of sweetness. My son ordered a long Island and he loved his as well. Our appetizer came. We have had calamari at many places, but honestly this was the best! It was not chewybat all, perfect. I am not a fan of fried shrimp, but this shrimp was pretty good. I stuck with eating the calamari. The dipping sauces were an excellent addition. On to our entrees. I ordered the filet and he ordered the ribeye. We ordered the Boursin Whipped Potatoes as our side. Oh my our steaks were amazingly prepared! Charred in the outside, medium pink on the inside. Whatever seasoning was used, compliments to the chef! We loved the atmosphere. The secluded booth was a plus. The music was upbeat and my son even mentioned he was so thankful it wasn’t elevator music! Our waiter was so attentive, pleasant and funny in a charming way. The staff took great care of us. We were full so they packaged up our leftovers. The waiter convinced my son to take home a dessert. Plus he brought my son fresh cookies with a lit candle on top of a huge dollop of fresh whipped cream. We had such a great evening. Worth the hour drive to get there and worth the price. Highly recommend. It is pricy, so expect a high bill, but it was so worth it! My son cannot wait to go with his twin brother when he comes to town next.

Nothing compares to the service here — seriously top tier. And the steak? Cooked to absolute perfection. Juicy, flavorful, and exactly how I wanted it. Hands down one of the best steakhouse experiences ever. ✨

Deeply Disappointed by Service and Food Quality
This was our first time visiting Steak 44, and I was highly disappointed with our experience. I had been looking forward to dining here for months based on the five-star reviews, but our meal ended in utter disappointment.
When you pay close to $500 for two people, you expect top-notch service and food unfortunately, that’s not what we received. My husband ordered the butcher’s cut of Wagyu medium, but it arrived rare (maybe medium-rare) and even contained bone shards. My lamb, ordered medium, also came out rare and with a side of asparagus I did not order (I had requested spinach).
When I mentioned the mistake, I was told they could “fix it.” I didn’t realize that meant they would take my plate with sides to the back, reheat it to 500 degrees, and return the *same food* on the *same plate.* That’s completely unsanitary. Meanwhile, my husband had to eat alone on his undercooked steak while I waited for my reheated meal.
To make matters worse, the manager, Blaze, showed no sense of customer service. When I mentioned the undercooked food and bone shards, he said, “that happens” and offered to reheat the old plate and bone shards, instead of apologizing. He offered dessert or prosecco to make up for the vegetable mix-up and undercooked food, even after I told him we don’t drink prosecco or eat dessert. I asked that he instead remove our drinks from the bill , which seemed fair, but he gave a smirk and walked away without confirming anything.
The waiter returned only to say the vegetables were comped. I had to *ask* for Blaze to come back, and when he did, his attitude was dismissive and condescending. He stated they don’t comp food or drinks even after such a poor experience. After going back and forth, he finally said, “beyond my better judgment, I’ll take the drinks off,” snatched the receipt, and walked away.
At that point, I couldn’t help but wonder if his behavior was influenced by bias. I truly hope that’s not the case, but the lack of respect and dismissive attitude made me question whether we were being treated differently being a minority.
Our total was still over $400, and though I was appalled by the service, I still tipped 20% because I refuse to be labeled as “difficult.” I just want to be treated equally and with respect.
**0 stars for Blaze’s management and for the meal he failed to rectify.**
This was our first visit — and unfortunately, it will be our last.
